King Kohli, it’s time to go.

That ball would have removed players in better form than Kohli.

India have lost what made them a really good side in the first place - the exact balance of arrogance and awareness that you need. They were a really good side at holding their nerve. It seems to have all but disappeared right at the moment

Latham missing a chance to review a ball that would have had Pant out, that could cost us the test and the clean sweep.

In fairness to him though, none of our other players, the commentators or the umpires thought that was out live.

It didn’t look out even though it pretty clearly apparently was in retrospect

I’m not sure if this ball would have fitted that criteria or not but there almost should be a rule whereby if the ball bounces, and gets above stump height, it can’t be leg before wicket - ie. if it’s such a rank delivery that it’s back on the way down again (which that particular delivery just about was).

Fearless but not especially dumb either. He knows where his strengths are and usually where the bowlers will give him some chances.

He’s going to have to hit an 80-90 here

He might be fearless but he isn't reckless like he was early on in his test career, he picks the balls to hit and can defend well too.

His match winning and series winning knock at the Gabba against Australia in 2021 was another example of that, a superb knock.

I love watching him bat, not so much here though.

Honestly I don’t think he was ever especially reckless really beyond what you would get from any young player.

He’s a beautiful player, he has, dare I say it, a Lara-esque gift for placement that not many have, when he’s not hitting it over them.

Couldn’t help but notice before he hasn’t left a single delivery so far. He’s been really really deliberate about getting into line with the ball and he’s made both bowlers pay for any stuff up with their length. Boy he’s some player

He is a special talent, he has elements of Lara and Gilchrist, the sort of batsman you want to watch when he arrives at the crease.

Thank god he survived that horrible car crash, it would have been a tragedy for cricket if he was killed or didn't play cricket again.
