He was really poor on 7:30 last night.His spin doctors should have had an answer prepared for that pretty obvious question. Poor understanding of the audience as well to think that response would fly. Needs to sit down and have chat with Johnnie H, that guy was always very good on 7:30.

To answer aquestion about economic numbers being worse than under labor with "we stopped the boats"was almost moment of self parody.Then the tired tirade about the ABC not conforming to the state's every wish.Really bad after he did quite well talking about the Syrian refugee crisis

Yes he said both those things. He even went as far as to say "what we want to achieve throughout the Middle East is governments which don't commit genocide against their own people, nor permit terrorism against ours". Of course saying you're against genocide is hardly controversial, but in the context of ordering bombing runs v only the ISIS controlled regions, it was an interesting comment to make. Assad is just another turn away if he wanted to expand the campaign later on.
