I was thinking the same Cap, he finally has a good season and he buggers off. It was the best time for him to whore himself around but its not like we have an excess of good players in SA ao I am not sure why he wasnt offered his desired 3 year deal.

Tommy Cooper will go well, he's a good player, good opening batsman.

Sad to see Rhino go, very disappointing :(

as for Greg Mail only playing well against us -- most players are like that now aren't they?
 
Michael Klinger has confirmed that he's joined South Australia, hoping that it will further his chances of national selection.

Shane Harwood might link up with Warney in the IPL as a reserve for Rajasthan.

very true

but I suppose a 28yr old with 1 good season under his belt is exactly the next Glen McGrath

I have to say I prefer Paul Rofe - he can't bat but he just as good a bowler IMO
 
Harris has been a gun bowler for years, just left too long in grade cricket. Carves it when he gets a longer go at it. Would be playing tests for half the other nations in the world. Excellent bowler, wicket taking machine and very very pissed to lose him. He was a genuine wicket taking bowler for us and now he is gone. Putland MUST get games now, he is our next big hope and talent.

Hope we get Tom Cooper, he is by FAR the best of all those NSW names. Terrific run maker at junior level and will no doubt slot into our middle order if he comes over. Klinger is alright I spose but really not a great deal better than what we already have.

Ferg and Cossie are by far our most talented kids but ____ they are struggling to go on with it for differing reasons.

Ryan Harris has now been dumped from his Sussex team, due to him now being classified as a full time Australian state contracted player.

Breaches the overseas limit of players as his british passport no longer helps him.

Very good news for WA. Only a month or so ago there was an article saying he was moving to WA but would continue to play for Queensland and has received approval to do this.

I wonder what has changed
