The answer to the problem is 1. two state solution 2. stop bombing the crap out of Gaza (ie ceasefire) and 3. release the hostages. All need to be done concurrently.

But the bigger problem is Israel and its parliament don’t want a two state solution. Therefore the impasse won’t ever be resolved.

And one could say, Dutton is appealing to the Jewish voters with his anti-muslim rhetoric.

See you keep saying it but it's bullshit, I've made it clear numerous times I'm quite comfortable with renewables being a PART of the energy grid going forward, even a goodly PART but we must have a reliable firming source and emissions wise nuclear is the answer without any doubt whatsoever.
There is absolutely zero doubt contrary to the diarrhea Bowen keeps spouting electricity is never going to get cheaper via renewables, or nuclear for that matter but reliability will always be the major factor and that's the void nuclear excells in and currently where well maintained coal plants have served Australia so well to the point where they stopped being maintained or replaced.
The problem is the emissions that coal produces though there seems to be no reluctance from the ALP to keep mining coal or even setting a timeline for the end of coalmining in Australia so they're quite happy to see it burnt elsewhere which in it's self is an oxymoron.

traditional ALP died ages ago. All parties only govern for votes, no one makes the tough decisions. Its why electricity is the way it is. No one wanted to put the cost in their budget then be blamed for increased debt.
