Quite simply - Israel doesn’t want to resolve this.

And I’m pretty sure the Palestinians want a two state solution.

The company also produces solar, wind, hydro etc.

So a company that already produces nuclear energy signs a 10 year contract with the US government. Well I never.

How is that even relevant to what the Coalition are proposing?

Two election issues - first the Coalition need to get a majority in the HOR (possibly but minority would be more likely of the two - assumes ALP can’t form majority/minority government) and secondly they have to ensure ALP/Greens don’t get BOP in the Senate (a very likely scenario).

Can't see the coalition getting control of both houses... & then they need to deal with the states too. Just can't see Nuclear getting all the necessary approval.

Dream on, battery will never be the main source of firming, not now, not never and certainly not in our lifetime.

All the SA battery is doing today is drawing power...

And again the interstate connector keeping the lights on in SA

This graph excludes home solar & battery use... which will become even more prevalent... particularly with a higher uptake of EV's.

The break up is

915MW Gas

483MW Wind

Large Solar 87MW

Rooftop Solar 446MW


Fossil fuel almost 50% and well over 50% allowing for the interconnector keeping the lights on.

Bottom line is without the interconnector SA comes up well short of demand.

Yes, it does exclude roof top solar that never enters the grid.

Surely you know this given you post this nearly daily & I have pointed it out to you before numerous times it doesn't give the full picture.

Only excess solar not used by the household goes back into the grid.

That wasn't the point Bicks.

You claimed incorrectly that your graph includes all home solar but it doesn't... which understates the amount solar is contributing.

Roof top solar will increase, along with ability to charge home batteries & EV's... which will reduce reliance on other sources going forward. Also, will be an increase in households able to store battery power from the likes of wind.

The fact you didn't even get this to now says everything of your Nuclear push.

Utter tosh as the graph above shows Wind, Solar inputs into the NEM grid in the last 24 hours is a measly 19.2%

It does NOT include what households use before it goes into the grid.

Seriously it's really not that hard to understand!

It means you are significantly understating solar on your graphs as much of it never makes the grid.

No wonder you don't get what is happening with renewables...

Will not happen until Hamas and Hezbollah are destroyed and anyone with a modicum of itelligence should be able to come to grips with that. Did you not see the reaction of the Palestinians as Hamas dragged the bloodied bodies of their hostages through the streets? You need to stop quaffing so much vino it's addling your brain.

No shit, no one is even disputing that Bicks! We weren't even discussing this, but convenient moving of the goal posts because you were found out.

However the % of renewables is increasing all the time, including solar that is used by households that are not included in your graphs.

No one has made a claim we are close to 100% renewable yet.

Tell that to heavy energy using businesses ans manufacturing, a lot of whom have installed solar panels on their supermarkets and factories etc but are still experiencing massive price hikes to their bottom lines because solar panels don't deliver anywhere near their demands..
