It was a better move to do Kristin's suggestion if she wanted to be there tomorrow, but it also leaves her still on the bottom and without her number 1 if it works. She needed to shake it up at some point if she had any chance of winning, and that may have been her best chance. I'm not begrudging her going down swinging instead of playing it safe, I think the main issue was how she took the swing
If she did Kristin’s suggestion without blowing everything up she would have had Kristin as Kristin flipped on her voting group to side with her (pre meltdown anyway).

She also gives herself a chance to win immunity or find an idol.

It’s just dumb play - being on the bottom is better than not being in the game, no?

I just don’t think the swing made any sense and she pitched it horribly.

Also as we’ve seen in particular in this game, you don’t stay on the bottom long if you survive. Logan was dead to rights what? 3 days ago? Given she was willing to vote Zara when it became clear she’d botched the whole thing I’m not sure that anyone is actually a ride or die (and nor should they be).

I can’t really see any angle where what she did last night was anything short of a glorious disaster and without last night she’s got absolutely nothing on her resume.

Yeah look, not begrudging Karin's swinging her sword. Problem is that she swung it hitting the fuze box.
She said in her outro she’d rather fall on her sword than get stabbed in the back.

KARIN, Mate, Champ, Ledge.

There was a very clear third option that involved no pointy instruments going anywhere near you.

This must be the first time - anywhere in the world - where a contestant has had a private chat with the host during a challenge.

"Please don't tell them I'm good at puzzles bro"...
I absolutely loved that, was incredible management of how he is perceived.. then just getting the puzzle sorted and pulling it back apart to look slower and waiting till he had others around him was just as good.
pretty sure he would have known the small piece was in the bag still and just did that to look a bit dopey

Or blunt instruments. Put down that sledgehammer, back away from the armory. In fact, no more medieval weaponry for you.

Yep, every little thing can get magnified.

Yeah I can’t have Karin as a good player. Four times she made decisions at tribal that I thought were horrendous. Last nights meltdown was an awful decision obviously. Telling Logan to play her idol was dumb at the time and gained her nothing in the end with Logan wanting her out anyway. Blowing up at AJ for playing a hidden immunity idol that she didn’t know about and also her plan to put votes on AJ at a tribal before they swapped just to scare him into knowing she could take him out

If her only redeeming grace is that she was wise to AJ being a snake then it counts for little strategically if he got her in the end anyway

Pretty safe bet Karin will be a bitter jury member, and good for a few dirty looks at future tribal's
So she'll be like Eliza Orlins or Courtney Yates.

And yeah for sure she'll be bitter as well as salty.

I thought Karin was getting a winners edit with all the screen time she was getting v her lack of actual impact on the game play.

Getting up at tribal like that was never going to work when Kaelan was one of the 5.

It would have been in the interest of the others to all vote out Myles or AJ there but at the end of the day they are not a cohesive enough group to pull that off. To borrow Sam's saying from the last US season, Kaelan is the glue guy and he is glued to AJ.

Tangentially related…

okayyyy so David just won a ****ing motza and he and Parvati were allies the whole way through. I’m so keen to see how this impacts Aus vs the World
Very exciting prospect of a cross tribal alliance. Possibly my biggest peeve is when tribe swaps happen and everyone falls back into original tribe alliances.

Was amazing, what a finish!

Karins speach/question to the final 2 will be bathwater-drinking insufferable.

Kaelen absolutely has to at least claim one big scalp to call his own, but no doubt he'll be grilled by the likes of Karin about not making "Big moves" like she "did"

Making a big move... is not the same as making a good move. Which always annoys me about bitter jurors. The ones who think they are the smartest players out there and claim others are taking it too easy, not jumping on board with there big plans... even if it would blow up their own game.

Yeah, as I said, Karin is gonna make the Dead Sea in Israel, seem sweet, by comparison. Having her self-destruct, in the eyes of the tribe, was like taking the milk out of everybody's cereal. All because of her ego.

This is absolutely true, but a good player will make that point during final tribal if challenged on it as well

Yep, and the FTC is the place to put your best politician foot forward.

I absolutely believe Kaelan is capable of articulating why his game was good. Whether the others believe him who knows, but I reckon there’s still a few he could take on current resumes and beat comfortably.
