The ODI team needs a complete overhaul. To lose to a team like SA who are barely one standard deviation from being complete minnows is pretty embarrassing.
That being said, T20's and tests are all that matter for the immediate future, so it's correct we focus our energy on those formats. The superfluous Bi-lateral ODI results aren't hugely problematic but they are embarrassing.
I'd very much like to see some young blood brought into the ODI team moving forward. It's the only reason a team as inept as SA just beat us, they actually tried something different.

Watched some of our innings, thought we were cruising to an easy massive total, then Warner and Smith hit some catching practice shots and it seems to have come all undone from there.

their test team is all over the shop at the moment clearly but I think you’re doing a fair disservice to what they’ve got coming through.
Malan and Veraenne (sp) have fantastic first class records (yes they do have a two tired system but they’ve done very well), Miller and De Kock are proven world class performers - albeit de Kock hasn’t fired a shot this series, Klaasen has a strong FC record as well, and their attack is solid especially led by Ngidi

Umm well called it before I went to bed that SA would win....did not watch us bowl or follow the game but judging by the comments here ....lots of frustration
Just reading Cricinfo our last 10 overs with the bat 6/49 !!..its the same problem time and time again we just cannot finish an innings
Once we get set and need to up the ante we just keep getting out .....very frustrating atm
Does anyone have Careys stats for his last 10 ODI innings ???....has he made a decent score ...I can not remember him scoring 50 plus
