I was at the PCW show on the 4th, which to my knowledge was before this went public in the local media but after this police investigation was in process. The person in question is usually a pretty visible presence at these events, at this show he was nowhere to be seen. Whether the other owners of the company removed this person or he simply chose not to be visible is another matter.

These situations often get weaponised by people either seeking clout or personal gain with very little concern to the victims of abuse.

Also pertaining to two major accusations of behaviour from people associated with MCW.

First the sexual assault claim from one wrestler to another, there were many with pitchforks and torches, but just as many who questioned the versions of events posted. Being this never went to a legal matter and hasn't been discussed since, it's either unfortunately a terrible case of he said/she said in a messy break up between two adults and/or there are no grounds of a crime being committed to warrant further investigation.

Second, the person who made that very idiotic comment over 15 years ago has openly apologised for it, seriously if we're going to burn at the stake every person who said dumb shit when in their teens or early 20's, that's a very slippery slope to go down.

There are some absolutely horrible people in local wrestling and some of them continue to not only survive, but openly thrive in spite of their behaviour, but at the same time this whole attitude of trying to be judge/jury/executioner doesn't sit well with me. Everyone is going to have their differing beliefs to victims and unless they become legal matters like the above mentioned police investigation, there's going to be shades of grey in terms of how people respond. I believe that any claims of abuse should be taken seriously, accusations taken properly into account and matters investigated, but after that unless there's a clear legal verdict then there's always going to be people who read matters differently.

Some people's actions make me openly uncomfortable, so I don't support these businesses, that they are a part of even if I had prior. But at the same time, even if I find some people reprehensible, I cannot judge those who are more forgiving because that's not my decision to make. All I can do is be an open, supporting and transparent person wherever possible.

Bloody hell what a mess.
