gold

we've traumatised an ENTIRE generation of English Cricketers...

There is an entire population of brits who have NEVER seen an ashes series win...

Beating Australia at Cricket is something their PARENTS talk about :D

Lee gone now as well- wonder why they are continuing the batting....give the bowlers a crack in the last hour....

Commentary isn't much today- more cricket conversations with an interjection- "caught behind...Katich is gone...." guess that is what we get on local BBC

Broad got Lee as well

7 for 520, lead of 303....

Martyn on 141- may let him get 150

7 for 536- half an hour to go in the day...no sign of a declaration....sure eddiesmith will chime in on Punter's captaincy.....

Bowl all day tomorrow when everyone is fresh after a night's rest. Win the game, pick the side, and we're on our way. That's the thinking.

7 for 582 at the close of play

Gillespie on 49
Martyn 154

Well over 300 runs today- so much for slow, boring Australia

Yeah- doesn't really matter- the bowlers can get another good workout on the last day- missing 4 or 5 overs (witht eh change of innings) won't make a huge difference...let Dizzy get the 50...then turn the bowlers loose.....

That's it. You're an absolute tool.

Do you know him? He is by far one of the nicest people i have ever known. Not even remotely arrogant. You talk crap without even knowing them.

Geeze we can be a fickle bunch

Dizzie's had 2 bad series (that i dont deny) in 2 and a 1/2 to 3 years and the knives are out..........wtf is with that????? Look at how many chances some of our batsman have been given!!!!

[sarcasm] i suppose if Gilly had a bad ashes series you want him out as well  [/sarcasm]

Dizzie SHOULD be given the next 1-2 tests to be given because A) he bowled much better in the last ODI and B) he is much better suited to the test area and probally should do a warnie and stick with the tests!

SHEESH!

Well if Dizzy goes so should Clarke, in the interest of fairness.

There's no fairness, if Lee's in, then one of Dizzy and Kasper has to be dropped, which is not fair at all, since none of the two deserve to be dropped.

Never fairness in the selection table, unfortunately.

This is as much the media's selection as it is the selection panel. Jason Gillespie had one bad series, following 3-4 years of a high standard, of consistent performances.

Kasprowicz has been nothing short of brilliant since his inclusion.

But your right, no fairness, whichever one makes way, especially Kasper.

Australians declared on overnight score of 7 for 582- no run for Dizzy's 50- and Leicestershire is 0 for 80, with Rogers on 40

Brett Lee must not play the first test. I can't believe we are thinking about picking him because the media says so. And if Kasper gets dropped I'll be spewing, he is easily our best choice for first change spot.

0 for 105 as Leicestershire doing a nice job batting....Magill has replaced Gillesie at one end, Kasper at the other

Rogers just got his 50 with a 4 off Magill
Looks like we might have a future Aussie batsman on display today

Leicestershire 0/106 (18th over)

Rogers 54 (49b, 10X4)
Robinson 45 (57b, 8X4)

Lee 6 1 40 0 (3nb)
Gillespie 7 1 36 0
Kasprowicz 3 0 14 0
MacGill 1.1 0 12 0
