Out of the 4 B&F's so far, these has not been one semi-decent player to win. Corey McKernan, Wayne Campbell, Mark Johnson & Adam Simpson are strugglers to say the least. When are we going to get a decent winner???

Adam Simpson made the All-Australian team this year. He has been one of our more consistant players over the last three or four years, and is finally beginning to get the recognition he deserves. I take him over David King anyday. At least we know the guys going to give 110% on field every game.

McKernan - his playing in the wooden spoon team so therefore chances are he'll be the weakest best and fairest winner (before people try to chip me on that i'm aware Nathan Buckley won it when Collingwood were the spooners, and other very good footballers have played for wooden spoon teams).

Campbell - agree hes very overrated but then again Richmond came 3rd last.

Mark Johnson - very good footballer, i would love to have him at West Coast, as im sure most supporters would at any club.

Adam Simpson - for a Roo supporter to be playing him down is surpsiging. he is a very good footballer, with lots of talent and desreved his AA guernsey this year.

So far, 2/4 are players who'd give it a run at most clubs, while the 2 that are strugglers (as far as B&F winners are concerned) are playing for 2 of the bottom 3 clubs.

Simpson is a gun IMHO.

MJ is underrated and has done well with the added pressure of Solomon out for the year and having Fletcher and Wellman miss quite a few games.

Licuria will win it tonight.
I wouldn't call him a 'dud'.

Overrated by whom? Opposition supporters don't rate him, a fair few Richmond supporters don't rate him (especially being captain) and I wouldn't say the mainstream media is lukewarm to him at best.

There are several supposed star players at Richmond who deserve the criticism more that Campbell automatically gets.

He may be not the best player going around in the comp, but he's been one of Richmond's best players in the last decade and is fully deserving of his 4 B & F's.

To answer the original question...

Tonight - when Steven King, Cameron Ling or Matthew Scarlett win for Geelong. Could be any of these blokes.

Also look at the best first year player, most improved and the coaches award... there you will also find talent :)

I think Roo Boy is saying that all the winners arent stars of the competition.

Thankyou - that is exactly what I am saying. If you win an AFL B&F you can obviously play a bit. What I am trying to say is that out of the 4 so far, there have been no real gun players.

McKernan - on his day is unbeatable and a match winner, but when he's not on song he'd be more use in the crowd yelling abuse.

Campbell - the worst captain in the league, one of the softest players going around, and the fact that he has won 4 B&F's shows just how bad Richmond have been over the last decade. He would have struggled to get a game over the last couple of seasons if he played for either Brisbane or Essendon.

Mark Johnson - is a good footballer, but on pure talent would probably not make Essendon's top 10.

Simmo was an AA this season and he was very deserving, but he still misses targets more often than not, has no right side & never handballs.

You have no clue.....How many of Marks games this year have you seen? Not many I take it.......

I wouldn't worry too much about him. He's obviously never seen MJ play.

Well he's hardly in the elite in the competition???
That is what best and fairest's are about! It is about the team players on the bottom of the packs, doing the hard things to push the ball in their team's advantage. It is about time such players are recognised, like Simpson, Primus and Licuria.
The brownlow on the other hand is about the flashy players who stand-out, although Simon Black has changed that this season.

You'd expect Cousins to win West Coast's B&F.
Yep, did win it last night.

Clearly the highest profile of the B+F winners so far.

I can give a gilt-edged guarantee that the winner of the Brisbane B&F will not be a dud, no matter who it is. I think it's on Monday night.
