I think you are confusing being satisfied with the direction and improvement of the club with being satisfied with pure winnning % performance. The people who count (players, coaches, support staff and the committee) are bitterly disappointed with how the season has panned out results wise (especially 5 or 6 close games which even if split would still have us in the hunt for finals) and are definately not satisfied with being a middling side. If some followers are satisfied with being a 4 or 5 win club they are not a true reflection of the mindset of the club as a whole.
Well said and good luck, you are on the right course, perhaps not as quick as you would like, but getting there.

Everyone is an expert on our 'bad culture'. You have no idea what you are talking about.
So our 'bad culture' is the reason for J. Edwards, D. Edwards, B. Dryden, J. Porter, S. Newton, C. McGill, and B. Inglis all being injured for most of the year. With them in the side each week we would not be winless.
We don't care if everyone hates us, why would that worry us?? I don't get it mate. Does being liked by everyone make you a better team.
I think our aim would be to be respected not liked. But at the moment we are neither.

If all your lives are so crap that your only enjoyment is seeing Darley on the bottom on the table then you need to get out more. We care a hell of a lot less about being where we are than lot do. Hope you are all as equally miserable and depressed we when win the flag next year.
I think Minns and Balls care the way they were heard berating their team mates against the Marsh

No thoughts on the end to Melton South v Melton?

MELTON South was a one-point winner against Melton after a controversial post-game decision by a goal umpire changed the result of the Ballarat Football League match.
A set shot in the dying seconds by Panther Rex Hickman was initially signalled a behind by the goal umpire, but it was overturned and a goal paid after the siren.

Wasn't there so really can't comment on whether it should have abeen a goal or behind, however I would like to think that the BFL would clear this up by issuing a media release as to what occured and why the decision was made.

Was clearly a goal could tell by the 20 30 Melton supporters behind the goals not celebrating a miss behind the goals

Must admit based on the video evidence it's hard to tell if it was a goal or not. Sadly it's not a good camera angle.

That said it is great for the league that they are filming the games and making it available online. It's a fairly basic setup at the moment with only one camera and no score graphics but hey we can't all be like the Melbourne Ice! :thumbsu: :D

Like u said pickman was very hard to determine, was line ball. If the right result was got that is the main thing now and thankfully the panthers cemented a finals spot with that win.

The issue of concern is the process and the calls from many clubs over the years about umpiring has merit despite the lack of action by those responsible. If umpies can change a result in the manner they did last weekend, rightly or wrongly, gee sunbury must be getting nervous coming into the finals series. They have always said they needto be 5 goal plus better side to eliminate umpire error, maybe they right. Seen it happen over the years so many times when umpies have blatenly cost sides finals with no recrimination, hope someones dream is not ended the way in which those umpies blew it on the weekend, as it really looked a farcical situation for a league of this quality. These umpies i take it will not be umpiring finals this year!

SUNBURY Lions Junior Football Club will meet this week to discuss its intentions to join the Essendon District Football League next season in a process that could reshape three leagues.
Sunbury Lions senior administration distanced itself from a move to join the EDFL at the weekend, but the club’s affiliate juniors are on the record saying they will apply to leave the Riddell District Football League and join the Essendon league from next season.

Another coaching casualty at Sebastopol. Next year will be there 5th coach in 4yrs. Toilet of a club. If there players were more interested in playing footy then snorting in jds toilets on a sat nite, they might of actually went somewhere this year!! Please please go to the CHFL!!

Good grief, Sebas are a rabble, what they doing is a recipe for perpetual failure.

Always though Sebas screwed up big time sacking Mark Russell, appeared to be a good coach with a good plan to drag the club out of the mire with a long-term plan.

Have to agree with you on this one. I think there 2011 coach went behind russells back to the boared & got russell the sack. & this is the same boared that gave this guy the sack this year. Dog eat dog club me thinks. Oh well. Whats east chances making tge finals

Why dont Darley go then? Big fish in a little pond

Doesn't make sense for Darley to go. If people are questioning if Sunbury have the money to be competitive then Darley definitely don't, despite being one of the strongest clubs in the comp financially. Having said that though, attracting high-quality players would be a lot easier in a league like the EDFL rather than the toiletry served up in the BFL.

slim to none lol.
Have to beat Sebas, and Ballarat have to lose to Melton (at Maccy Park).
