Re: Ballarat Football League

Would love to give the Bridge a try brother but i have just arrived in Milan where i will be sitting in on this weeks fashion shows and staying with my dear friend Mr Karl Lagerfeld. I have booked to stay at the Westin Palace and intend on spending my time away from the Ballarat Football league talking to Karl about German literature and the creative ideas we are sharing for next seasons Fendi line. Unfortunately life for me is not all about supporting the top team , it becomes a little more complex at times. Complex in a sense of- "what should i wear tonight? My Safron Yves Saint Laurent pullover or the timeless black Jean Paul Gaultier triple button night jacket?"

I look forward to arriving home next week after the long flight (first class) to hear the news that my beloved devils are still undefeated and the players who are spending the week in Phuket have left the bar mats where they belong in the aussie bar. Anyway guys my masseuse has arrived and its time to get going, wish me luck.

Mr D.Rat

Don't expect anyone here to get fashion, bro. They are more concerned with the upcoming Australian Wool Innovation Woolpoll and finding an alternative solution to mulesing.

They make the wool, guys like us make it devine.

Re: Ballarat Football League

You better believe it Mr Bandwaggon, thats why most of this leagues semi professional best players didnt play or the ones that did didnt give 100%. Who wants to get injured in a meaningless no nothing game then miss out on a payday the following week. How naive are you ? Welcome to 2009 Rip Van Winkle, wake up and smell the $$$$$ !

But if gloating about hollow victories is what rings your bells, then go ahead, knock yourself out !

I was asking KA to justify his comments in regard to the difference between the 2 leagues.

Re: Ballarat Football League

Here's one hot off the press- The Bacchus Marsh footy club are going through a period of poor performance, much like the Richmond footy club but does anyone know what else they have in common?
Let the rat be the first to tell you all. Bacchus Marsh football club in the last 2 weeks have also had coach issues and issues of the same nature as Richmond. A group of players have asked big, heavy coach Miles to stand down after he delivered a tirade on young players after the Melton South defeat.

The Marsh footy club have stood by Miles much to the disgust of the players and have told the players that they have a contract to honor and players will not dictate the future of the club (thank god or it would definately be down the drain). The committee already has tonnes of egg on its face after hiring the unproven (unsuccessful) Miles on a contract that is longer than a regulation season and this scenario has just deepened the wound. The jury is out on whether or not Suther and his cohorts have been trying to oust Miles again after approaching Skrobolak in the pre-season to coach without the all-clear from the current committee and then only a week later- the committee signed Miles. Its no secret that alot of the old blood around the Marsh are not in favour of heavy Dion, lets just hope this isn't the total undoing of an already unsuccessful club

Rat out!

Re: Ballarat Football League

I heard that also D Rat. Things are not smelling good on that side of the bridge, and thats not due to the burst sewerage pipe at Maddingley Park last Saturday.

Re: Ballarat Football League

June 13 2009 - Sebas V the Marsh. This could be the clash of the 2 worst BFL sides ever to play. In these tough economic time June 13 could be just what is needed for a laugh. Surely we could not be so lucky as to get a draw.

Agree, not sure what his recruiting policy is, last year he offered $200 a game to guys that play in Darley 2's. When he can't even land 2's players by offering coin what chance has the club got.
Just goes to show the difference between the clubs, blokes would rather play 2's at Darley than earn $200 across the road at the snake pit.

Re: Ballarat Football League

Karl might sponsor Darley next year

Darley is the only choice. Imagine Dion trying to pull off that look?

The shirt would be so tight that there would no longer be ruffles in it and the buttons would be hanging on for dear life. The gap in the jacket would be larger than the gap between Darley and Bacchus Marsh. The glove would be brown, representing the fact that everything he touches turns to poo. The rings around his shoulders would be tight around his neck, being pulled by the masses of Marsh faithful that would love to strangle him for ruining their club.

and the % won by darley and melotn south is?

Why is it when facts get shown up poor old darley followers resort to hanging s**t on the marsh who have achieved as many flags as they have. Its ok pick on a lesser club as you must be sick of not mixing it with the big boys like sunbury, redan and ballarat

oh come on, give us a break...

Only 8-10 years ago, Redan lost something like 40-50 games in a row. Do you bag Redan for letting success slip to such a bad level?

I think it's amusing that you keep picking on the little guys... the easy targets if you will. Says a lot about your character. They're not winning games... so what!? You should see a game against these 2 sides as an opportunity to blood your kids.. ANYTHING but the same old rhetoric you keep posting on here - I don't care.

Don't know much about the Marsh (thank god) but Sebas is becoming a major growth corridor of Ballarat and in 3-4 years they will have 100's of kids to choose from and develop. Karma is a b*tch.

Not sure I get your point, why would we put s**t on successful clubs, its way too hard to think of stuff. We are not just bagging Marsh for the sake of it, that stuff is not made up, it did happen, we just thought it was news, if the same thing happened at the Merging Dogs, we would put it on here also.
Another thing, KA is Gissy and Sunba, and has seen plenty of flags over the years, has nothing to do with Darley or Melotn South (as you call them).
Also cheer up, Serena won last night. What number French Open is your daughter going for now?

Oracle how long have Ballarat been in the BFL, and how mary senior flags have they won in that time?
1 flag in 20 odd years aint successful.

Re: Ballarat Football League

Is the high profile player they were talking about on sen today with the bad gambling problem Aidrian Newman?

Re: Ballarat Football League

Hey shaggy who cares if your club is full of young players, they arent upto bfl level, you will just go down the same path as the marsh for the last 8 years! stop filling bf up with crap about everyone bagging your useless young team. If you go to the chfl you mite win a couple of games and then you can wrap them up on there.

HEY FTBFL,
DILLIGAF
If you shut your mouth you may save giving away who you are ;)

Hey Shaggy put your gumboots on, pack your pipe and go back to the Merideth music festival and tell tales of how Barnsy kicked 19 on you in one game and passed off 10!!

Redans case was much worse, the club was financially fingered. Sebas & Bacchus are financially sound but continue to recruit wrong players/coaches to there club. Sebas are doing all the right things off the ground at moment but need to get there on field soughted out before anyone can take them seriously.

And major growth area of ballarat? Haven't drove around alfredton lately???
