Also disappointed about Maric, but not overly surprised. The talent appears to be there, but he was disappointing after apparently having a great pre-season leading in to last year. I'm hoping that Neeld has a word in his ear to change his mind about looking elsewhere.

Bate can go or stay. I'm not fussed either way. He has his moments but he also has some glaring limitations.
Maric... well in a side crying out for a small forward he can't hold the position. A waste of a pick for us so anything we can get for him will be a bonus.

Not fussed about Bate or Warnock (and to be fair, that was a fairly obvious call those two made) but I want to keep Maric at the club. Offers as a small forward or midfielder and he's a great kick with some pace and tackling ability.

Will be interesting to see what Melbourne request from other teams. Personally, a pick in the 20-30 range should get it done, but the Dees could think otherwise...

Maric was apparently one of the top u/16 kids back in his day but hasn't seemed to progress. Laziness? Who knows, but he doesn't seem to be a good fit for good teams

I'm a Melbourne supporter rating the trade value of a Melbourne player, cut me some slack

But seriously, he's the feature piece of the 'First Dropped' gallery. He suffered with game time under Bailey - I consider him worthy of a game most weeks. He offers as a small forward or a midfielder, reputably is a laser boot and he's got pace. Considering the quality of this year's draft he'd be a pick 40 next year, but I'll rephrase what he's worth: 20-30 and we do well. Probably a pick around 30 is fair for both parties but Melbourne will play tough, I reckon.
