Yeah it's strange, on vanilla bc2 rush is better than conquest but in vietnam conquest is a lot more fun than rush. I do have a mic somewhere around, gotta dig it up. And will be getting a turtlebeach headset soon just a matter of when they're back in stock around perth.

Went 28-2 on Hill 128 or whatever it is yesterday, got on the patrol boat's double MG's on the front on rush and tore the enemy team to shreds. Strong love for patrol boat.

I find it the other way round tbh, love conquest in normal bc2 and prob prefer rush in Vietnam. Not sure why really, maybe it's that rush maps are a bit smaller in Vietnam than conquest. I guess I started mainly in rush on the original so could switch when I get back home.

Of course. I don't think many would argue but it is great for a change and for 20 bucks you can't go wrong.

Anyone who says nam is shit just probably can't adjust, it doesn't mean they are shit players though. Nam is a good add on and I reckon it's sweet. There are flaws but meh it's fun and only cost 20

Love this game, look forward to the new Hasting Map on Vietnam too.

You keep your level from BC2. Like i am a 42 and continue from there. However weapons are all Vietnam.

Some crossover weapons from BC2 and when they are different from BC2 (like the M16 is now fully auto instead of burst and the M14 is full auto instead of semi) the stats start from scratch. Weapons like the M1 continue to count on the total you already have.

Vantage Point is probably my favourite rush map. Love defending the first part. Cao Son is probably my least favourite.

Vantage Point is very difficult to attack however.

Struggle to get the second charge more often than not.

I reckon this game is overrated. It's okay, but at the moment I think I'm gonna side with j2k. Gets boring after a while playing the same 4 maps over and over and there is so much lag it isn't funny. Playing Russians and Swedish people isn't fun.

Went back to normal BC2 and was lag free and dominating.

Finally. bigfooty people are the only ones I know that like this game.

Been playing a bit of bc2 recently and the no lag means you can tear it up.

Plenty of people outside of BF enjoy Vietnam.

Its great to play BC2V and then go back to the more modern version. I like having the choice, keeps the variety going. No shit if you play the same 4 maps over and over again its going to get boring.

Sadly I'm seeing more and more less skilled players however.

I have 100 people on my friends list the 4 or so from bigfooty are the only ones that like and play that game. Plenty more I know don't like it either.

BC2 has new maps and more new players. The skilled players have gone back to bc2

You know EA/Dice aren't in competition with themselves over BC2 and BC2:V, right? Whatever floats your boat though I guess.

9.5 at IGN and rated highly on other gaming sites, EA/Dice couldn't have asked for a much better reception really. Reckon your friends are just weird

Have you guys done the fence test? If when you hit a fence/bamboo it falls straight away, you have no lag. If there's a delay. You got lag. You can't tell me you've had a game where you've had no lag (ie. they're being destroyed straight away.

Well I don't do it as a test but I do recall there being a lag on the original BC2 when chopping fences/bamboo sometimes, however ever since this;

Bad Company 2 Australian Servers Now Online

DICE have announced today that Australian servers have been deployed for Battlefield: Bad Company 2. If you have been experiencing severe lag whilst playing online matches in Battlefield Bad Company 2, the new servers should sort this problem out.

....I've had no such problems.

Also, are you sure your EA profile is set to 'Australia'?

Please be aware that if you live in Australia and have set your country location to anywhere else in your EA Account, you will need to switch the country location back to Australia in order to gain access to the new servers.
