BBL crowds 2022/23

But aren't the Hurricanes crowds like half of what the Renegades and Thunder get?
The biggest crowds in Hobart this season were 10800 and 9100 with a smallest crowd of 6100,so not half and a good effort for the smallest market. The crowds in Launceston were only 4800 and 5400 so they could definitely do with some improvement but I think crowds will actually improve in coming seasons if this season is anything to go by.

40k is pretty much a full house at Marvel like how 53,000 was a full house last night…
If that’s the case then the memberships structure is worse over there as that’s a third missing. They really need to ticket every seat for the GF so they get the most people in as possible rather than allocated for people who aren’t actually coming.

Perhaps Scorchers get big crowds as they are perennially successful. It helps to keep spectators engaged. And it’s not just because West Aussies are more parochial than other states, or because there is nothing else to do in Perth…

The Wildcats always got bumper crowds when the NBL was about 1/4 as popular as it is now. Maybe Perth are actually ahead of the curve and the BBL will start getting bumper crowds.... I'm still of the opinion that it can be a great product (sorry T20 haters).
