Amazing foresight! I was just reading your other post about taking him from the airport to your club for a night. He used to watch tons of cricket- a bit like Terry Wallace in football. Still going strong at 75.
It was the day Brad Hogg retired from International Cricket, his 📞 rang off the hook, all the News hacks wanting a quote

Three lads bought the rights to play Golf with him the next morning at the Auction pre his speaking engagement. That round is still talked about.

Got him back again two years later…same again. Great fella

5 of the 6 wickets have been to poor choice of shot

As they almost always are.

Every year it’s the same shit. Perth and Sydney are professional outfits, Adelaide are sporadically good and Brisbane pop up once every 4-5 years. But the others are pathetic, hit-and-hope amateurs who are an absolute embarrassment.

I have no idea what the coaches of both Melbourne teams do. It’s definitely not instilling any sense of composure and understanding how to pace a chase. Money for old rope.

I’ll be voting with my feet this year, no way I’m going to watch this tripe.

This is the situation where you wouldn't have minded JFM being dropped and Wells playing down the order as that mature player who understands how to play the situation

Wells should play especially if the plan is the two blind fruitcakes opening

Brown has looked slightly more composed, but a few of his wickets it's like he's trying to guide the ball rather than really hit through it with power

After tonight I'd drop JFM, promote Seifret to open with Brown and then have Wells come into the team, batting down the order - but with a bit of flexibility in terms of positions for Harvey, Sutherland & Wells depending on game situation
