I reckon he was Victorian. Started with SA, went home, then came back when Lehmann did.

It was actually in Adelaide, the season before Lillee made his comeback with Tassie.

Hookes scored 230 on the second day (306 no overall) and Phillips made 110 on the second day and took it to 213 no the next day. They put on 462 unbeaten for the 4th wicket.

But otherwise correct on your part.
