Cooper Connolly has overtaken Tim David as a power hitter. Heck even someone like Nick Hobson does a better job than David.

Cooper can bat down the order and power hit. He will be in calculations for the 2026 T20 World Cup.

Gotta be better options if they’re looking for a specialist finisher. Hobson for example has more form in that role, but I wouldn’t be that comfortable with him in the national side

My observation of Hobson is he generally plays the conditions at Perth Stadium to a tee. He has the get out shot, of hitting down the ground. Needs to develop a bit of muscle, to clear square boundaries. Some grounds around Australia in the BBL are shorter square eg Marvel Stadium, Adelaide Oval, Blundstone Arena(Bellerive Oval), Kardinia Park.
