Local. He lives here I think. There's already Hope, Jordan and Salamkheil as internationals.Chaudhary going to target the spinners here.
Is Chaudhary classified as a local or international player? Could he be a dark horse to rep Australia in future if eligible?
Todd Murphy gets regularly underbowled by the Sixers
Tim David gets out to Bird.
Bird with a 4 fer and with a chance of 5 fer.
Tim David fails to live up to the hype.
And guess what? The Aussie selectors will continue to pick this guy based on that 'hype'
Gotta be better options if they’re looking for a specialist finisher. Hobson for example has more form in that role, but I wouldn’t be that comfortable with him in the national sideAnd guess what? The Aussie selectors will continue to pick this guy based on that 'hype'
Cooper Connolly has overtaken Tim David as a power hitter. Heck even someone like Nick Hobson does a better job than David.
Cooper can bat down the order and power hit. He will be in calculations for the 2026 T20 World Cup.
Channel 10 gave Nick Hobson the nickname 'Gun-For-Hire' given how much cricket he plays for franchises around the world now. If he can perform in those leagues around the world, I couldnt see why not.Gotta be better options if they’re looking for a specialist finisher. Cooper won a Big Bash Final batting in the middle order. But I agree with your point batting at 3 and middle order are two different kettle of fishes. No he hasn’t. Different roles. Connolly bats 3-4, and has been in for a while when he’s “hitting” at the end. Should be moving on from David but it’s not a guy batting 3 domestically. Connolly should play but at 3.
Only really has one good shot and it relies a bit on poor bowling. Still can’t be worse than DavidChannel 10 gave Nick Hobson the nickname 'Gun-For-Hire' given how much cricket he plays for franchises around the world now. If he can perform in those leagues around the world, I couldnt see why not.
Saw him in a bit of the T10 league recently , he did bat pretty poorly.
My observation of Hobson is he generally plays the conditions at Perth Stadium to a tee. He has the get out shot, of hitting down the ground. Needs to develop a bit of muscle, to clear square boundaries. Some grounds around Australia in the BBL are shorter square eg Marvel Stadium, Adelaide Oval, Blundstone Arena(Bellerive Oval), Kardinia Park.Only really has one good shot and it relies a bit on poor bowling. Nick Hobson is a bloke who would be terrible up the order for the Scorchers. Can only bat one wayhitting at the end is the most over rated role in the format, if your good enough you can bat anywhere
