Strange considering he's used to coming in early for the Scorchers because the openers would fail most of the time

With Bethell? I may have gone early on him but McCullum and Stokes rate him.

That's what makes the Seifert shot for his wicket even more frustrating - he was going well, hit a beautiful 6 the over before and really didn't need to do anything stupid as he was building nicely & forming a good partnership with Bethell

It was also another wicket lost in the 10 balls before the drinks break - don't lose that wicket and we were well placed to take an early surge and build upon it through the innings

But not sure Wells is the ideal option to be in during the surge - but unlike Harvey the other night he's finding the gaps for a single to get Bethell on strike and keep things moving

Compare their approaches to Perth or Sixers. It’s not a coincidence that those two dominate almost every year.

The Renegades might scrabble together 140-150, which would be easily chased down by a competent team. The fact it’s the Stars still gives the Gades a chance of a win, as it’s just as likely Maxy and co will try and bludgeon their way to the total instead of taking a measured approach and will get bowled out for 100.

We've seen a few "different" run ups from spinners over the years -Hatzoglou & was it Dooley with the windmill type action?

They seem to make an impact in their first year or two at BBL level but then fade away just as quickly as they came
