That was an awful innings from Brown too.

And while it was only the second over, felt like there was a bit of pressure on Harris to try something as Brown just didn't look like scoring

He didn't have a great match against the Stars last week, then missed the clash against Perth due to injury/soreness - wonder if he was maybe not quite right, but having lost Evans & Wells they decided to risk him hoping it would work

I reckon it's fair enough, when a batsman tries this on.



I never quite understood it.

You're not trying to cheat anyone, it's not like you think you're getting away with anything, especially in the 3rd umpire era.

So what's the penalty for? How's it different to getting halfway down the pitch for a run, changing your mind, and going back? Is it tip 'n run now, where we're telling the batter in that situation that he has to take a run, rather than take 0 and get back on strike?

I'm glad that it's a weird one we don't see often, cos it's very strange.
