I hope the Brisbane Lions premiership defence goes better than the Heat's BBL title defence.

Canes finals lineup will be interesting. McDermott for Wakim is easy but Bean probably holds his spot. It's whether they want extra batting or bowling but I think the lefty bowling option gives you more than Dorans batting.
Another odd one is the only team that the Strikers have beaten chasing 200+ is the Hurricanes (twice). As an 'odd' coincidence
5 out of the 6 teams to win a Big Bash title have never chased down 200+ runs to win a match
Bowlers win tournaments, Batters win matches. As an 'odd' coincidence
5 out of the 6 teams to win a Big Bash title have never chased down 200+ runs to win a match
And they have the batters to get the job done too. Well balanced side.If the heat can finish 4th I still think they can win the whole thing with
Johnson
Bartlett
Nesser
Sweepson
That’s pretty lethal.
Spot on.And they have the batters to get the job done too. Well balanced side.
And the Hurricanes have chased down 200+ against the Heat 3 timesAnother odd one is the only team that the Strikers have beaten chasing 200+ is the Hurricanes (twice).
You forgot to mention WakimRight up there with household international names like Hurst, Evans and Alsop
he is Australian so gets a mulligan. The others are paid and invested internationals (although I thought I read Hurst is actually a pseudo Aussie or something)You forgot to mention Wakim
ODI team … we should be watching a tri series now on free to air, not a bilateral series behind a paywall in early NovemberHow long until 23 year old Mitch Owens is ushered into the ODI team?
I'd be worried if Johan Botha was coaching the Lions. What a complete cluster **** his appointment has been. All the bowlers have regressed this yearI hope the Brisbane Lions premiership defence goes better than the Heat's BBL title defence.
Sixers have the best fielders in the comp.Spot on.
As a canes fan I’d be worried about them finishing 4th.
All teams do bring something different to be wary of though.
The strikers with Short x2 and Lynne can destroy you on there day and Pope is dangerous.
The Scorchers are always a threat with Dorf, Morris, Agar although Richo is a huge out.
The Gades could go ballistic with Brown, Fraser McGurk, Seifert and Sutherland with Zampa and Roger’s backing them up with the ball.
The stars have Maxi and Stonis with Paris and Stekette coming good.
Really could build a case for all teams to win the comp outside the top 3.
I'd be worried if Johan Botha was coaching the Lions. What a complete cluster **** his appointment has been. All the bowlers have regressed this year
T20 batting average of 26 is bloody good imho
Nope, Strikers are chasing 229 against the CanesAnother odd one is the only team that the Strikers have beaten chasing 200+ is the Hurricanes (twice).
List A average (dometic 50 over cricket) of 11 across 13 innings is utter crap though.T20 batting average of 26 is bloody good imho
Ah yes, I saw the 207 in a losing chase against the Hurricanes and didn't check if they had won or lost.Nope, Strikers are chasing 229 against the Canes
