I think I handle bad cricket better than most, but Jesus Christ I don't handle dumb cricket well.

Agar needs a smack in the back of the head. T20 isn't that hard for a batter at this stage of the game. If you've done any research into a bowler - especially a fast bowler - and if you stand back and have a look at the field, you'll identify that the bowler usually only has 2 options in terms of where he can (try and) land it. They don't have any more flexibility than that.

So how hard is it to have a plan for that? To just lazily "play each ball on its merits", as Agar seemed to be doing to night, is infuriating. That innings was a snapshot of why he never truly made it, he's just not smart enough for international cricket. He knew where the ball was going to be, to a 50%, one or the other certainty, and he cocked it up both times.
