To be fair I don’t think a lot of what the journalists said was “made up” - we just simply didn’t like what was said.
The same journalists have/will link Neale to us and the reaction is totally different.
Glad he’s staying. Let’s add Neale to that midfield and it’s exciting times ahead.

As the interview with Barrat said - If the deal cant be done then he is happy to stay at the Lions. I don't think we are taking pick 18 for Beams. Deal no done. Yes they could give up a player but given none of their players have shown a remote interest in the Lions how invested would anyone be after being told they have to make way for Beams so your off to Brisbane. I think its a bit of a regurgitated story because trade week had go so boring. If Collingwood are after May how were they going to manufacture a top 5 pick for him and then give us a top 20 pick for Beams. I cant see them getting a deal near either of those as i don't think Langdon will get them the picks off the back of that one excellent game in the Grand Final. If somehow he did go and even if we got Neale it would be one step forward and one and a half back.
