Might be worth deleting that post.A few thoughts on The Philosophy and Etiquette of WereWolf
Or The 7 Life Lessons of WeyreWolff
Or The Tao of WereWolf..
Anyway my NYT bestselling makey-uppey book.
It is a game
But to say it is different from life is something I'd gently challenge- or at least reflect on.
IT is an immersive game that engages emotions and intellect. How can we not bring 'ourselves' into it? Learnt skills and habits...impulses..competitive drive, trauma the whole beautiful- ugly show can at times pop up.
And like in 'real life' how we engage depends on natural skills and talents as well as learnt etiquette and values. You won't last long if you are a complete dickhead every game.
We take for granted being respectful of others to varying degrees but of course as regulars we know their are rules. That's 'real life' stuff.
So we can't get away with being shitty and not apologising...like rl. Well- we can- but there are consequences. And most of it comes down to respect. And cutting others a lot of slack.
So for me these are implicit skills and they are 'real life' within the game.
Respect for others playing style...or maybe 'empathy' is more optional.
And perhaps applies more to EQ dominant players rather than IQ dominant. For me this is the real fun of playing.
The nuances baby!
Can I make up for my giant IQ weaknesses and still play a good game?
Can IQ leaning players figure out other styles of play and use that to become better players?
The best players use a nice blend of both.
They play with an immersive spirit - which means they stay present and engaged. But they rarely get overwhelmed, keeping a mindset of 'admissable within the game'.
It's 'personal' for your character and your faction, but 'you' are a step back from that as witness and driver.
Does that make sense? Tl,; dr?
I chatted with Zerg and Porps re another difference...male v female style of play.
BUt that is for another day and another chapter folks.
I hope you enjoyed the reflection.
And hope it encourages you to ponder your own game-style. If you'd like to add your thoughts, that'd be awesome!
All true. I think it's why I try to understand when people don't post much/contribute. It is a game and sometimes life gets in the way.A few thoughts on The Philosophy and Etiquette of WereWolf

Mm. I can't tell that yet. It’s pretty easy to pick up when someone is just away because they’re busy, or they’re a typical lurker type too. But that’s something that can only come with experience
I don't think l will.Might be worth deleting that post.
And reposting in the WW discussion thread.
yeah i hadnot taken much notice until Dank said sometign so i went back and looked.4 wins in 14 games is a ridiculously high win rate.
Some people take 20+ games to win their first.
