Bendigo FL discussion 2024

I get that you want change and agree it's needed but is wanting an inexperienced interleague side to get belted they way you want represent yourself?

Is watching the league slowly die while absolutely nothing progressive happens the way we want to be represented?

No one gives a stuff about interleague anymore, the best players don’t want to play, it only exists so the flogs running the game can get a free polo shirt and a bus trip.

If it further shines a light on the destruction of the competition by those incompetents then I’d say it’s a small price to pay.

Your opinions are as valid as anyone's on interleague and the BFNL's health. My opinion is that for someone to wish a belting on a group of young blokes willing to test themselves against very strong opposition is an ordinary way to think.

I still think interleague has a place as long as you have players who 'want' to play. The win by the Goulburn Valley team earlier in the year against the Ovens and Murray (who people believed were certainties) is testament to this.

The Bendigo FNL squad is pretty good and I look forward to watching the team play on Saturday at Elsternwick Park. I think they will give a good showing and believe they can win.

The VAFA squad is very good with some terrific players selected. Beasley, Cowan, Roberts and Emery are all very good players. Their team is at https://www.vafa.com.au/news/2024/06/27/vafa-premier-b-division-3-team-announced/

Just because.

Well thats going to make a lot of difference. Jobs for the boys. AFL VIC and BFL board might as well be one.

Desperate times call for desperate measures and these times are desperate indeed.

why is 3ccc not broadcasting interleague game

They couldn’t make Gisborne last week so not much chance they would get to Melbourne.

Was starting to wonder whether the league manager job was still waiting to be filled. The passage of time does that. So the previous league manager (CT) stepped up to acting regional manager role in October last year and stayed acting until commencement of 2024 season when finally given the permanent job. And with possibly the biggest crisis unfolding in leagues recent history they were relying on a bloke to do both regional manager job and league manager job. I honestly feel sorry for CT to a degree. The buck stops with board. It’s close to their biggest and most important decision they make. Getting someone to run the show. Why on earth they weren’t looking outside the AFL loop beggars belief when there is ample evidence to say independent, self administration is getting good results elsewhere.
