South with the return of the White Hills brigade
Starting to put a great team together, resigned most players and added some quality. Brayden Torpey, Will Keck, Mac Cameron, Bartels, Crisp, Antonowitz, Fallon, Hayden Geddes and potentially a Josh Nitschke

I watched the Gippsland gf. Standard wasn’t that great, I was surprised
I disagree, the wind was blowing quite hard across the ground but still saw some really difficult goals kicked from the boundary & out of stoppages (mainly by Traralgon). Leongatha's kicking/transition game was killed by the wind (and Traralgon pressure), Traralgon move it more by hand & were too quick but it wasn't a bad game. Quality at the top end of the comp dropped a bit this year but it was the closest league in the state by average margin.

I thought Gissy would win just as easy, no point in judging his tip now.

Nope…hindsight is a wonderful thing (sometimes)

Was a good game between the clear 2 best teams of the year and 4 points separated them in the end

It’s also worth noting that the rest of the coaches in the league also tipped Gisborne and some by significantly margins

Ballarat also sounding unlikely to be making overtures to Gisborne for next season, as well.

I wouldn't think that they would need to make overtures to the club at this stage.

What transpires over the next six to nine months will give us a very clear indication of the lay of the land and Gisborne will either request a transfer or they won't. No doubt they will assess the financial and logistical impact of going and staying in the meantime.

Perhaps not but HQ seems pretty happy with the status quo & having a balanced fixture for a change.

Don't you worry. I've remembered your putrid post from a couple of weeks ago. Any apologies on the way?

If you are referring to my comments on certain Sandhurst players needing to be dropped I think you will find my comments were pretty accurate. Nally was dropped and Mills came back in. If you watched the game you would have to agree that Palpratt struggled to play any discerning part in the game ( 10 disposals) and Ireland lacked influence ( although he copped a decent hit to be fair to him). Arnold I am comfortable making a call before the fact and if you want to spend your time critiqueing me after the fact it's all yours.

Ireland may have been hampered by an incident that occurred before he even took the field
