It will obviously take time to find out the best way to fill the Joe hole but I wonder if we might use his vacancy for Levi and go small. Both Hippy and Morris are really mobile and undersized talls in many ways, with our fleet of smalls, we could potentially cause havoc, Hawthorn style.

thanks that was embarrassing we really do, it would be hard to not resent a delisted 1 year contract player a spot in that team as it would be at the expense of someone really promising.

I wonder if McKenna might leave. He got the flag he wanted and competition for his spot is huge now.

I think Coleman moves to the wing leaving Zorko and Wilmot in the back line together. Cannot replace Zorko or Wilmot they just work too well together.

I had enough concerns on Coleman having the fitness for the half back line. I really doubt he could play wing. Way too much unrewarded running there.

I mostly think we will look at Smith or Fort starting the year in Joe's spot. But once Gardiner and Doedee are back fit and competing with Lester it wouldnt surprise me if one of those three got a shot in the forward line as well.

With 2 knee clean outs in the last 6-8 weeks it is doubtful he is even ready to go for round 1 let alone being fit enough for a wing role.
When he does come back into the team though, I have no doubt it will be in the backline. But Zorko stays where he is for next year I would think.

I hope I’m wrong but his career has been a bit of a slower burn to get him up to the level he got to before his injury. A bit up and down. So I wouldn’t be surprised if it takes him a bit to get back to the level coming off the ACL.

I think I’d probably play Fort in Joe’s spot and shuffle the ruck rotations so Oscar spends a bit more time up forward. Otherwise I think Doedee-Lester and Linc-Cal are line ball, which will be awesome for competition. I think Lester’s best football is probably better but age is a factor. Kiddy will come back in if he is fit enough. I’d hate to lose Answerth from the 22 but it would be for a year at most until Zorko leaves so hopefully not too dispiriting for him. Kiddy on his day is pretty solid defensively too, so not a radical loss of defensive oomph I think.
