After match sim and Yze insight today -

fb- Vlastuin, Young, Broad
hb- Rioli, Gibcus, Short
c- Banks, Hopper, Ross
hf- Graham, Balta, Cumberland
ff- Bolton, Lynch, Kosi
r- Nank, Dusty, Taranto

i/c- Prestia, Baker, Trezise, Mansell
Emg: Sonsie, Clarke, Brown, Dow

Kosi's spot iffy if Lynch is fit. Looks like a pretty good side to me though. Shouldn't be near bottom 4.
After match sim... Dow was best on?

After watching the match sim and reading a few articles from the coach I reckon he saw my line up and liked it a lot. LOL

Only change is he moved Shai forward and kept Dusty as a mid. Also, will probably play Mansell instead of Cumbo.

F: Mansell F Lynch F Kosi
F: Baker F Balta F Bolton

W: Banks C Dusty W: Ross

HB: Rioli CHB Gibcus HB: Short
B: Vlastuin FB Young B: Broad

R: Nankervis R: Taranto RR: Hopper

Int: Graham, Dow, McAuliffe, Prestia, Grimes / Brown (not sure on the rules this year are they going with 5 interchanges instead of sub or still sub?)

Reckon Ben Miller will be in the team before Gibcus. Or with him and Young depending on opponents. No way we roll with just Young and Gibcus, they’ll be slaughtered

Yeah I think the above teams people have put are pretty close, but one player will have to miss out for Miller

Who's spot does he take? Obvious one is Prestia, but if he's fit, he plays IMO.
To me he will be about our most important midfielder if he comes on, and it sure looks like he has left off from his good form late last year. He makes our midfield so much sharper around the ball. Plays midfield before Baker for one.

It’s going to be a long year watching Noah Balta running around lost in the forward line 😕

As a small forward?
Mansell was a very average small forward last season, one good game in scratchy and he's pencilled back in.

I would much rather see he and Banks duke it out over the wing position. I think Mansell could be a good wingman. He's very fast, a good kick and very hard at it. He was much better half back than small forward, 10 goals in 16 games does not make a small forward, and over 10 disposals in 5 of 16 games make Castagna look like a star.

He's not a good kick and he's probably our best small forward option right now unfortunately.

He is a decent kick, not as good as Banks but far better than Mac and Pickett. I would have any number of players forward over Mansell, he has no forward craft at all other than he chases hard.
Yeah hes not a natural forward, I agree. But unless mrj pulls his finger out or Campbell steps up I reckon he's going to get first crack. At least with Bolton up there he won't be the main small man.

Bolton, Martin, Baker, Taranto will play through there. Cumberland, Green, Campbell, Coulthard, MRJ are all natural forwards, are they good enough we need to find out. No defensive forwards please, as waste of a spot in my eyes.
