That following day I seen him playing Mini-golf by himself “ no sling in sight” at time zone in Surfers
Seems to me that Mr Wells got himself a nice strike and the injury was just an excuse to be not be involved in AFL for that time

I just assume Collingwood were going to be over the cap significantly next year. They went all out for a flag and probably saw this coming. They hoped to get Beams contract paid outside the cap which was knocked back. So had to cut a few players. Not terribly well planned especially back ending a few deals and possibly overpaying a few. So assume they were told to get moving with cutting some players. And didn’t go the best way about it. Especially with Treloar and using his wife as an excuse to move him on. And not really being overly transparent with Stephenson. I’d say other coins knew and took full advantage of the situation.

I really rate Stephenson. He’s a bloody hard player to match up and one I always worries about when we played the pies. I think they wanted to get his money off the books but moving him on is a strange choice. Which does make you wonder why and if there is more to it with behavioural issues or work ethic.
