Best forward in the AFL

Brown - the best package
Pavlich - close behind
Riewoldt - great runner, kicking has improved
Franklin - the raw diamond, will be a star
Fevola - great forward, difficult character

oh - and I like Milne (I really do - still the best small forward in the AFL).
no last year Farmer was the best small foward in the AFL, this year he played shit all games but he is >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> then Milne

Proof of insanity.

You really believe that Milne is better than Steve Johnson, Didak, Leon Davis, Brad Johnston and Nathan Brown?

Pur-leeeeze!

Didak, L Davis, N Brown - yes

Steve Johnson and Paul Chapman had to look good with Geelong this year - I agree that they did, too !

Not sure if Brad Johnson really quailifies as "small forward" - if so, I rephrase to "one of the best small forwards in the AFL"...

Because Essendon have a better midfield than Carlton?

You don't.

Lloyd kicked more this season with a lesser midfielder.

I'd say Fevola is more likely to kick a hundred after he kicked eight goals in one half of football.

Lucas kicked 7 in a quarter, is he likely to kick a 100?

Fev's closer to his peak than Lloyd.

Lloyd is still capable.

Fev will lick his chops at the thought of being on the end of passes from Judd, Stevens, Murphy, Carrazzo, Simpson, Gibbs, Grigg, Scotland and Walker next year.

You'd hope he'd kick 100 with that midfield, barring injury.

700 odd goals. He must have had plenty of kicks then.
hahaha im willing to be hes had a sh*tload of kicks, still, it just goes to show how good he is to get that much ball in such a poor side. He's my favourite player, except maybe G Ablett Snr
Reiwoldt is a great player, but im not sure hes had the impact i was expecting a couple of years ago, maybe my expectations were too high for him. Also a big fan of Fev

you can't be serious, Milne better then Nathan Brown and Alan Didak, Milne is rubbish while Brown and Didak are superstars who can turn a game on its head.

Riewoldt is more accurate than Pavlich, Brown, Franklin, Fevola, Lynch and Gehrig, so I don't know where this inaccuracy myth comes from.

He had one poor year kicking for goal in '05, but has been terrific since then.

Sure he missed a goal against the Dogs in '07 ... but no other player in the AFL would have had the endurance and ability to take that mark, so it's a 50/50.

Brown is yet to prove again that he could be a superstar - 21 goals this year.

Didak is spectacular but far too unreliable - 25 goals this year.

Milne had 32 goals this year (and can also turn a game, e.g. 11 against Brisbane in Rd 22, 2005).

Brown played 11 games and played quite well I thought. Averaged more goals a game then Milne.

Didaks first year back from a knee reconstruction and was starting to get back to his best towards the end of the season. Dominated in the Semi Final. Even playing half fit he still averaged about the same amount of goals a game as Milne.

Although he played well, he didn't turn that game, the Saints won by 139 points.

In Order:

Brown, Pav, Lucas.

Suprised Lucas hasn't got much of a mention. He can turn a game on its head just like Brown and co as evident with his 7 goal last quarter vs West Coast (Should've been 8 as he was tripped).

You would have to say Fevola is the best forward wouldn't you? He doesn't dominate a game and goes missing when the midfield does, but damn.... he has a nice kick and marks well.

Brown and Pav are game dominaters, different league, and you would prefer them over Fevola.

Kidding? Chapman as a midfielder is a better forward then Milne.

Agreed, Lucas is class and I did mention him before. Although not sure on your 'evidence'...didn't we just get reminded that Milne kicked 11 in one game.;)

Jonathon Brown: most intimidating force in the league- number 1 forward easily.
Pavlich: Clearly second, simply because his attitude is far better than Fevola's, and he gets himself into the play a lot more. 15 other clubs would be drooling at the prospect of having him. Absolute matchwinning superstar (and a nice bloke too)
Fevola: Only thing that prevents him from being the best forward in the game is his attitude. Has everything else- outstanding mark, deadly kick (best in the competition outside 50 by a mile), genuine game turner.
Riewoldt/Lucas would have to come next.
