How many did he kick again in that third??Smarts outdo skills every time.
Of course it also helped that fat Stewy also had beautiful skills. He could get away with a lot of 'cheating' where others couldn't.

Please excuse my ignorance.. But who is that??
Black did pla an absolute blinder that day, and in an era where 40+ disposal games were anon existent feat as well.Black (already mentioned) and Petracca (21 GF) are obvious noms here IMO
still clueless. Before my time i guessSnake Baker … had a stint at the cats as well …
Helps if you read the whole title!! haha my bad!!Amazing outing, but the discussion is finals performances
Injured. Woosha chose to take the risk.Michael Gardiner 2005 grand final is one that sticks in my memory, can't remember why though.
The only final that counts.Simon Black's 2003 demolition of the Pies deserves a mention.

Underrated performance by Derm considering how young he was at the time. Most underrated was a 21yo Dermott Brereton being sent to full forward in the 1985 GF and kicking 8 goals despite his team getting flogged.
A truly spectacular performance. Insane goals too, felt like we were up against Superman. The only final that counts.
Peter Matera in 1992, five from a wing to take the cup out of Victoria.
Votes cast at 3/4 time?Darren Jarman 1997 GF and his 6 goals, including 5 in the last quarter with the premiership on the line.
The flaws in Norm Smith voting were well and truly exposed that day. IIRC votes were cast at 3/4 time at that point. Andy McLeod was great but Jarman should have got the medal.
Very good point. If we take out Ablett 1989, best performance in a losing final has many great and close contenders. That one by Derm would have to be near the top. J.Kennedy in 2016 and Ablett in 2008 some more recent ones.Underrated performance by Derm considering how young he was at the time.
He earned every one of those goals with Essendon defenders on his hammer all day.
While the rest of the hawthorn rabble gave up at halftime, Brereton kept going all the way to the end playing with aggression.
You don’t see that often from key forwards in GF slaughters.
Max Gawn's 2021 PF was pretty amazing to watch.

And pieI saw it, but I didn't believe it.
