Stephens over fisher or Tucker?
That’s ………. Surprising
All 3 bring about the same level of good and bad.

If we're going on training reports, given Corr's yet to play in a match sim surely Kallan Dawson is ahead of him.Obviously a lot to play out but based on training reports so far....
Seniors:
B: Archer, Comben, McDonald
HB: Corr, Logue, Daniel
C: Scott, Powell, Stephens
HF: Simpkin, Darling, Sheezel
F: Ford, Larkey, Curtis
Foll: Xerri, LDU, Parker
Int: McKercher, Phillips, Maley, Zurhaar,
Sub: Duursma or FOS
Reserves:
B: Goater, W.Dawson, K Dawson
HB: Fisher, M.Whitlock, Bergman
C: Tucker, Urquhart, Hardeman
HF: Harvey, Teakle, RHJ
F: Konstanty, Pink, Payne
Foll: Goad, FOS, Duursma
Int: Stevens
Inj: B.George & Wardlaw.
Strongly disagree.
Stephens cracked 20 possessions 2 times last year
Fisher 15
Tucker 9
Plus Stephens avoids contact and is below average by foot.
Becoming a bit Nostrils-esque with this take but we have to sort out this forward situation. Larkey being pissed off should suggest that that's an issue. I don't care if Darling wasn't playing. Our hopes shouldn't rest on his shoulders. There's no excuse why one of Comben and Wawson shouldn't be permanently playing up forward at training. Six weeks out from the 2025 season and our main key forward is complaining about the same problem we've had since 2020. Brilliant
You're right, there isThere is an excuse for Dawson…..
Fair enough. We’re all entitled to an opinion.
Mine is that we’ll be better off when none of them are playing.
All are players that need to be replaced medium term.
But at least fisher can get it 30 times a game and Tucker actually defend.
Stephens is just a lump of nothing
Don't forget that the coach literally admitted the playing group threw in the towel after the previous week. So that R23 circumstance just won't be replicated at all, regardless of how injuries play out. It’s interesting looking at the Sports Market for round 1 where there is absolutely no love from the likes of SportBet where we are listed at $5.10.
From the last game which I had to watch live we were mauled, tarred and feathered to the tune of 96 points. Horrible game with Comben and Bergman injured early, and young Darcy took advantage of our under sized backs and kicked a bag. We competed in the 1st QTR and then threw in the towel after that. A shite day for a tired and humiliated team. Only highlight was a lovely hanger by Captain Jy late in the match.
From the team selected that day, and without any form guide for 2025 (Match Sims against our own players is not a great barometer) I expect these guys will not be there in round one. Shields (Ret), Wardlaw (Hammy), Stephens (start VFL), Fisher (start VFL) Bergman (Start VFL) Teakle (Start VFL) Tucker (Start VFL).
I expect to come in are Sheezel, Logue, Daniel, Parker, Darling, FOS and Phillips. I have kept Kallan Dawson in for now.
The Doggies injury list is growing by the day with Treloar (Calf), JJ (Hammy), JUH (personal) and yesterday Liam Jones (Hammy from match Sim). From that match last year they will also be without Macrae (Saints) and Daniel (Kangas).
A lot can happen in the next 6 weeks, but on the surface those odds seem a little out of whack for a first round which always throws up upsets. #kangasheadingnorthin2025
Got to admit I agree and I got on those odds a while ago before the run of injuries. We'd be real value at the line IMO. Dogs also often start very poorly before finding their feet - all those injuries will surely add to that. It’s interesting looking at the Sports Market for round 1 where there is absolutely no love from the likes of SportBet where we are listed at $5.10.

We have a 4 week head start on the Kennel. They have a ton of injuries, we have George injured and a whole heap of ins. I'm not expecting anything really, but we should contemplate victory as it's within reach (if we are seriously improving). No JUH helps considerably, he torched us last time. Parker, Daniel and Darling in, should be interesting.Key factor in being a north supporter if you like your mental health.
Don’t expect to win round 1.

We're actually coached by the great man now. No more cuddles, just ****ing win. I'm sick of the excuses for being outright terrible from Day Dot.Round 1.
That is all.

We're 7 and 17 since the turn of the century. We haven’t been terrible every round 1.
But we’ve lost 12/15
In fairness, two of those three years in which we actually won the fixture turned into horrific nightmares, and both times it was due to factors out of our control. I don't want to put the mozz on us but if we win this one, Arden St might turn into a sinkhole and suck George Wardlaw into the abyssWe haven’t been terrible every round 1.

I got us at $5.20 so I feel like I've already won. I whacked $10 on at $5.20 & saw the odds drop to $5.15 & so I quickly whacked another $10 on you guys. I've already decided how I'm going to spend the winnings. It’s interesting looking at the Sports Market for round 1 where there is absolutely no love from the likes of SportBet where we are listed at $5.10.
I don't mind that. You'll find most premiers actually lose round 1. Whether it's deliberate or not, I'm not sure. But that's when you hit the bookies with your hard-earned. They soon get it.We haven’t been terrible every round 1.

Round 2 to 24 been tough lately too. I can actually remember winning a rd 1.Round 1.
That is all.
From R3-R17 inclusive, we went winless two years in a row. That's an enormous chunk of the season lolRound 2 to 24 been tough lately too. I can actually remember winning a rd 1.
