Do pointsbet have team to finish a certain position on the ladder markets? That is something that would interest me.
Nah, they don't. Good idea, though.

In the past they have run promotional competitions on their FB page asking subscribers to propose an idea of a new market. This sounds like something that could gain plenty of momentum if you suggest this idea. The winning idea (most likes) has a bonus credited to their account.

I might go beat paris to it and pocket the bonus, for the melts

They used to after about round 4. However, they haven't brought it back recently.

They allocated a point amount to ladder position.

My only complaint with Pointsbet concerns the huge margins on a lot of their markets, some upwards of 15%.

However, it seems completely illogical from a legislative POV to ban signup offers because they incentivise problem gamblers, yet allow spread betting with deferred settlement facilities.

betfair's great but as it shows there, long shots lack liquidity and shorties you can find better price. very frustrating getting on those horses in the $18-$40 range at BSP especially when a couple others try and get on at the jump too. had one the other saturday so as big pools as you get in WA got partially matched at $44, 30 seconds prior to jump few other people try to get on and it starts $22 when there was $31 fixed. all that took was about $150 between everyone.

they're really the only options i use on betfair try and bleed the double figures off a series of small bets. i prefer fixed odds otherwise. in WA there's like 3 minutes of betting.

TABtouch NRL promo: First team to reach 8 points but lose, CASH back up to $50 on selected games. Available for:
Parramatta vs New Zealand
Sydney vs Brisbane
Manly vs Canberra

I know nothing about NRL lol, any games worth using the promo for? Or any fast starters worth backing and then hedging elsewhere (going for a near free shot - hoping you get cash back on first to 8 and but make profit on the other team winning).

I'd just take the faves with the insurance

Got a question about Points Bet. Got sucked into a $500 CB promo planning a hit and run, won pretty heavily, but now have to turn over a shitload of coin.

What's the best way to go about doing this? Once the stakes get semi serious it gets bloody risky. But I'm not going to sit here doing $10 bets each week and turn over my coin 5 years down the track. What sort of markets are best to minimise loss?

Instead of minimising loss how about maximising gain?

EPL. NBA Finals. Some Saturday Metro racing.

All should have good liquidity and sharp markets on Betfair. Dunno how sharp Points Bet are though, are they better at some shots than others?

Can you back the plus in AFL games with big margins? Taking the Lions say +65 reduces the risk of a huge loss and if they're competitive could be a good win.

Or take the plus if wet weather is expected

How does their turn over work? Do you need to actually bet was has to be turned over as stakes, or just be 'max risked' to be turned over?

eg: say someone has to turn over $200, they bet $10 on Crows -6 vs Geelong, would you
a) need to do a total of 20 of these $10 per point bets like this one to 'turnover' the $200 (After this bet you'd still need to turn over $190)?
b) if your max win/loss for this $10 a point bet is set to 20x your stake (max loss of $200) does that count as the $200 being turned over?

If its 'B' I reckon you'd be able to turn over some what easily, but yeah if its 'A' things could be hard and take longer

Only your initial stake counts as turnover.

Thinking about the soccer - e.g. $80 on Real to score over 1.3 goals has a max loss of only about $120 or so.
