Buku is doing Lobb's job but 10x better.

Loved his response to being pinged for pushing his opponent in the back
Wot the **** are you talking about?

You understand that the game only swung in Essendon's favour when Khamis went into the ruck late in the second.

Until that point the game was so bad that I would've been happy to have been murdered just to be put me of my misery.

Who really thinks we will go right on with it after dominating that 1/4 ?

Recent history says no.

I hope this group decide this next half is now or never and leave nothing in the tank !

I think we can only thank Essendope for being rubbish....nothing to get excited about from my point of view. We'll get smashed, out in straight sets in finals...

Ok so have to admit - I was a fan of Bruce coming back in but he has been terrible. Needs google maps to work out where his opponent is!

That vision of him swapping the wrong player and leaving English in the wrong spot just shows how important system is. Essendon is a tiny backline but are getting multiple intercept marks. For us 1 or 2? Shocking. Essendon have one big bloke and we have three defenders over 197? And if Bruce is bad - where is Keath.

Gards has been average too but has impacted a few contests. Duryea also.

Dale and Richards have been good but best defensive effort (even though it was probably a free kick) was Poulter - if our bugs attacked the contest like that we would be much better.

Big kudos for Smith - copping a heap of shit but comes out without trying to be flash but honest hard work! Tackling and gut running - stick it up em Smith.

Also another example of why Macrae should be at centre bounces - not only is he good and adds something different we can play two good lines: Bont, Libba, Smith and Macrae, Trelor and Daniel can create a great one-two punch.

Yep - but Buks is a former Cat B rookie playing his first game for the year as an undersized forward/ruck.
Lobb is a 30 year old monster we gave up two second round picks for.

I'd argue the difference in expectation between the two is justified.

Sure, but the former is the reason we did the latter. Timely reminder, tonight.

TBF to Marra he only does it when he doesn’t have other options, more than happy for him to keep that in his game because when he’s 25 and in peak condition no one will be able to tackle him
