People will look at the game & say 'Young wasn't too bad' - I agree.

But it shouldn't be a case of that being the assessment required.

He's been in since 2015.

Yes he won a flag with a good month where he clearly inspired an amazing mix of hungry kids & heart & soul vets to play a HUGE 4 games. I'll be forever grateful.

But the entire world could see that we had huge weaknesses in our team tonight.

7 years & massive gaps in the team is unacceptable for elite sport.

Cut the emotion out of it.

It's not good enough.

The club is too weak to do anything about it & we'll enter next year with a similar mix.

Selection is beyond comprehension

I would not care one bit if Bevo got the pies or blues job. Thanks for 2016 but your team selection has been the reason for our demise plus you pick up a 34 year old injury prone ruckman and hope he can make difference get realistic.

Not happening you stupid idiot.

Clarkson will never coach to the Bulldogs, get that through your thick skull already. He either goes to the Carlton big money, or the AFL's big money at the Gold Coast. If we couldn't even afford to pay Dale Morris and Joel Corey, we're not going to pay 1.5 million a year to Clarkson.
It’s nice to dream isn’t it?

I'd rather we didn't have a coach. That way nobody could even pick a team and all our players would be out of position. And guess what? we still wouldn't win a ruck contest.

I'll always love him for 2016 but the magic is long gone now. Time to freshen things up and start building for the future. At the start of his career he said that he thinks 5 years is about the right amount of time for a senior coach to stay in the job. Well he's had six and its time for everyone to move on. Bring in a new coach and start building around Jamarra and Darcy.

Actually, he's had 7 years but I get your point.

Not this thread again. Save it for the off-season. It’s like we’ve lost next week already.
We likely will lose but agree once the emotions of the season is done a reasonable discussion point

I’m fatigued by the extra brain power you spend every week worrying about the team that will be put on the park. I think a freshen up is needed now.

Team selection is made to be like our goal kicking - so much harder than it should be. Painfully hard.

The coach has had plenty of chances. 2016 was brilliant, but we've failed dismally ever since.

If Clarkson is in the least bit interested, I'd be all in. We might actually play a recognised ruckman, we might even play two. Crazy, isn't it? 😜

Serious question here as an outsider.

Do you think sometimes of late he tries too hard to be a "mastermind" coach and go with the unconventional rather than the conventional wisdom?

Seems a bit stubborn - ie the management of JUH, although he might have been right all along, we'll never know.

Having said that, i dont doubt that the players play for him, the central group anyway

I just think ever since he won the flag he almost tries too hard to jag one by doing quirky things, but i might be wrong

Been saying it for 3 years mate.. he thinks he’s clarko. Thinks he can win games off strange tactics that clearly don’t work.
