In the game that counts .... i.e. Grand Finals .... we are tracking at 50%. I would consider that a pretty good record which would stand up reasonably well. Lavenders for example are 0%.
Having said that, this whole "can't win at the MCG" crap can become a self fulfilling prophecy unless we pull this one off. The media is messing with our minds and even if we have we currently have a win percentage of something like 36%, which is better than the lavenders, we are the team that the Vics most fear so they are going to try to get into our heads every time we play there. Time to win.

Like a ****ing broken record. But the term sticks around because it allows the AFL media types to feel better about losses at Subi. "Hurr hurr but they can't win on the road!" despite some epic road wins in recent memory vs the two form teams of the comp (Adelaide & GWS).
Crapping our pants vs Hawks at the G is indeed a recurring issue, but a specific one. We handle road games better than most clubs, but who cares about stats.
Have to remember though that for most people (and the AFL media from the look of things) the last time they watched us play against someone other than their own team was the 2015 GF. That stink will be around for a while until we either win something or fade into irrelevence.

It's such a ridiculous argument because by saying that we can only win at home, they're saying that other teams can't win away.
Which is exactly the criticism for West Coast.

Exactly. When we don't win away/at the G, we can't win on the road. When teams lose at Subi, it's our home ground advantage (or umpires). It is ridiculous confirmation bias.

Our record in Victoria (including Geelong) doesn't compare all that favorably to the other interstate teams over the same period. 7-11 which is worse than all bar Brisbane and Gold Coast, both of whom have been pretty woeful everywhere for that entire time.

Any one catch what Channel 10 just aired? Jonathan Brown carrying on like the flog he is, going on an incomprehensible rant about them needing their mummies and not being men. It's a fair call but man he sounded like an absolute twat. I'll try find it and link it.
Edit: Couldn't find a link, but it was on his show with Nova I think. He also took aim at supporters saying we aren't man enough to stand up and own the fact the boys can't win away from Home.
