What an awesome sight watching him play, even if it was just a support role. to watch him take on 3 Port players most times and nearly winning all the contests was a sight to see.

And his tackling too.. forget about it...lol..

How loud were the cheers when he gets those free kicks..lol..

Must be a headache for the opposition... triple team Hally but then you leave Davo, Scneids or MOL all alone..

It must be noted that it was a great game to watch as well. Tough contested footy.. You gotta love our swannies.. We're becoming the masters of the mind games. Lull them into a false sense of security then at the right moment.. just tear them apart....lol..

He's really been crashing through tackles like a man on a mission the last two rounds. He might not have troubled the scorers much on the weekend, but boy did he push those Port boys around and create opportunities for those around him!

yes indeed.. and hearing the commentators getting excited everytime he just runs through them is quite funny.

Great to see them doing well even if Hall didn't trouble the score sheet.

I actually had him as one our most important players in that game. He certainly doesn't need to kick a bag to make an impact for us. In fact by playing around him, we looked far more dangerous in a way.

I agree Tuco,in earlier games we seemed to be very Barry Hall focussed, always
trying to kick it to him despite him being double/triple teamed. With our other
forwards running around hoping for scraps. I would be happy though if he could
kick a bag,its always on the cards, would be nice when im down there for the
Essendon game!

Totally agree, That's prob the most exciting thing to watch. Hall dismantling 3 defenders then passing it onto a crumber..

He has such a stronger game when he doesn't argue with the ref, regardless whether we think he was harshly done by.

Essendon vs. Swans should be an awesome game.

Big test this week for Brian Harris of the Dogs. Dogs will not put three players on him as Eade doesn't do those tactics. Other will get across for a chop out though. Love watching Barry when inform adds much needed colour to our game. ;) Dogs by 10

Go easy. But the way the game is going, perhaps "ref" is a more accurate description. :p

I really hate this kind of elitism. Yes, a lot of Swans fans are Rugby League converts. We grew up calling them referees and penalties, not umpires and free kicks. The two terms are synonymous and unambiguous. To call someone out for it is pure snobbery, Sanecow.

Here here Sky. I'm a devoted AFL girl now and haven't watched a game of NRL in about 5 years but I still occasionally call them Ref's and get pretty peed off when I'm corrected.

Using correct words is "elitism" now?!? It's laziness to not at least try to get it right. Great catch Barry!

no disrespect, i dont think Bazza was neccesarily born with a huge amount of talent, but its been great to see him reinvent himself in Sydney and become one of the true stars of the game. shows where hard work can get ya

Totally agree. Even Big Bazza admits he's not as naturally talented as other players.

I'll put the "Hall lacks talent" quotes over the years down to merely being part of our magnificent Psi-Ops campaign to fool everyone back in 2003 that our list had no talent and no future. ;)

Oh yes it is! It's the only way a victorian can look down at a sydneysider! It doesn't bother me but it sure irks a lot Mexicans.

It's so fun irking the Mexicans..lol.. always seeing them waiting in hope that a Vic team will win the GF..

It's shaping up to be a great season. But the second half of the season will be a better indication of who the real movers and shakers will be. Of of course our beloved Swannies will be there.
