King & Kane on radio today, one of them said they thought our top 5 players were better than theirs, their 5-17 players were better than ours, but our bottom 5 were better than theirs.

I can't imagine Logan will miss (even if jabbed up) but, just in case he's a late in, Ladhams needs to have this on full volume until the opening bounce (and scores the winning goal); ;)

I was at the Captain's run today, and saw Ladhams kick the ball towards Hayward who had his back turned, apparently with a view to hitting him unawares or at least giving him a fright (i.e. a prank). Seriously, could you imagine if Hayward actually got smacked in the back of the head with Sherrin and had to go through a concussion test? Sure it's unlikely, but who wants to take risks the day before the GF?

I don't even want Ladhams at training anymore. It's not safe.

if he was aiming there was no way he was going to hit him

I wouldn't listen to any of the pundits saying Brisbane will win. If we win, they'll be the first ones saying we were the best team all year and Brisbane still have so many issues they need to work through, yidda yadda.

They're all junk
I posted this earlier in the year. Still rings true. Just change some names

"Here's the thing, Gerald. Sydney were the best team all year. Top of the ladder since round 9, 4 All-Australians, 3 of the top 6 in the Brownlow. We knew that going into the Grand Final. It was their game to lose. Has been all year. But what a coming of age story for Carlton, Gerald. They took it up a team some would compare to 2000 Essendon- I wouldn't but some would. They took it up to them, and the margin of 30 points doesn't tell the full story. They were brave, they were in the contest and put together a year that, in many previous years would have seen them go all the way. This Carlton side are better than the past 4 premiers. At least. They may have even pushed 2020 Richmond if Martin doesn't have a Norm Smith game. That's how good they are. They scream to me, 2012-2015 Hawthorn. Lose a flag then go into a dynasty. Curnow and McKay up forward are comparable to Franklin and Roughhead. Walsh and Cripps perform better on the big stage than Hodge and Mitchell. Weitering will easily be Brian Lake like. Did they get the job done today? No but that's just going to make them hungrier. And watch out for a hungry Carlton in 2025. I can't see anyone stopping them, Gerald."
- David King, Monday after the 2024 GF

Butterflies already. I'll be a mess tomorrow.

Network running the 2012 GF replay in the small hours tomorrow morning.

Channel 10 Melbourne news said that Logan didn't run today, and was only kicking during the captains run.

Maybe his ankle is worse than we thought.

Same media said two of theirs sat on the sideline and did nothing, but was expected and no biggie.

I wouldn’t give the media much thought.

Don’t know where all this talk of Brisbane having more support today came from? I was there and we outnumbered them 70/30 quite easily. They were just more vocal, disappointed that we couldn’t get the sydneeeey chant going.

Ok gang, I am officially laying bricks..Gotta feel for Mills and Adams, and Big O from Brissie, must be tough to be so close. Adams is th interesting one, as this is what happend at the pies. Outwardly he will be fully happy, supportive, but must be burning on the inside. I would imagine Fox start and Campbell sub. Not sure how much sleep I will get, but 10am beers are on the cards just to settle the nerves. Go Swans!!!
