It's odd.
But I'm at my most calm watching swans GFs v normal season games.
I have no idea why...
Well I do.
Watching prelims , semis, elimination... critical games in the season you really get a sense that the odds of a future grand final win is 1/100, 1/23,1/5 etc etc.
So many external factors.

A Grand final is pure.
The best side will win. On it's day.

Be confident you have the best side.

I’ll be at the ground tomorrow and I’m supremely confident that the boys will do us proud. If they play at or near their best no team can get close to them, they just need to ensure they turn up on the day and I’m confident they will.

Crazy availability we've had this year, just gotta cash in on this, can almost guarantee we won't have this kind of run next year.

Optimistic that this year and this group will be different, we've been minor premiers before but never felt as far ahead of the rest as we did at times this season.........but recent GF performances definitely fresh in the memory and serve as a reminder of the 'other' type of performance we're prone to dish up from time to time, and even have this year.
Slightly nervous about how we'll start, if we are right with them at mid way through the 2nd qtr I'll be quite confident. Although I'm not keen for a close one, can we just have a nice comfortable GF win please...**** the spectacle for the neutrals.

I now its difficult by try and switch off if you can - read a book, watch tv. Anything to turn your mind off otherwise you'll be exhausted before you get there.

Nothing you can do or say will cause a result in the match. If it did we'd have won every GF we played in - find some zen if you can and switch off so you can sleep.

Had a nice night out watching the AFLW side play, despite them not playing well, and one of the umpires doing his best to channel Matt Stevic.

Hoping for a good sleep tonight - actually feeling pretty relaxed about tomorrow right now. Think we've done the right thing at the selection table, and the boys look primed.

Start the game with intent and make it a hot contest, and we can make the running..no team that has beaten us this year has done it in a game where we've been able to execute our game relatively well.
