I agree CC. Love a bit of Riz
It reminds me of Pietersen and some of the knocks he played Down Under.

I think it's the way teams have to play here. You can't let our quicks get into a rhythm and have to keep the run rate positive.

Easier said than done obviously, but the Rizz showing it's doable.

Putting on the Rizz

I hope the Eagles are paying attention to this.

I still think we'd be better off going to Melbourne for 2.5 weeks (three weekends) and knocking off three away games instead of 1. Doing that once would cut out 2 return trips (4 flights).

If we have ten away games, we could do:
-Two trips to two of (QLD, NSW, SA) and knock off 4 away games (saving 2 return flights on current arrangement)
-Two trips to Melbourne for three away games each time (saving 4 more return trips). If we have to play in tassie we do that as the game in the middle of the 3 game stint (same with Geelong).

Turns 10 return flights into 4 and allows much better recovery while away between games.
1. The AFL determine the fixture, so as much as we could recommend extended trips interstate, it would have to be in the interest of the AFL. You'd also likely have to get the Dockers to sign up as well, as the AFL would want one game in Perth per week over the course of the season.

2. Last time we had extended interstate trips were the COVID bubbles, and by all reports we absolutely hated those (and were pretty bad on field).

Carey is a fine whiteball player and we see him playing the sorta cricket Rizwan plays at shielf level, so I’m hoping we can see him play this attacking brand of cricket in tbe future.

Inglis has a bit of Rizwan about him. Hopefully he gets a Baggy Green at some point.
I’m hoping we can give him a block of red ball cricket soon. Been a while since he played. I’m actually in the camp of not taking a reserve keeper to NZ and have Bangers as the reserve keeper. You can always fly Inglis over late but also Bangers is a fine keeper himself

This just came into my mind but who replaces Warner as opener in ODI’s? Bison has made runs there but I actually wouldn’t mind Inglis opening

Matt Short would be the obvious replacement from state level. Wouldn't be surprised if they try Cam Green in the top 3 with Head/Bison either.

Windies will be the perfect chance for him. Like I said in another thread this sides gonna lose a lot of stars from now until the next WC. It’s actually a great chance for Green to cement his spot too

Idiotic cricket again by Australia. Josh doesnt have the pace for short pitch bowling on a relatively dead wicket and is getting hammered but they keep going with it. Bowl good line and length with the odd short ball. It ain’t hard.
