1st match against hirdylloydy1. Get the 1st couple before he gets on the board. A few senior Gold Coast players rested and the young stars were doing well to hold the Bombers out in a low scoring tustle. 5 goals to 2 at 3/4 time in their favour, before Monfries bobs up with 3 early goals to cut the lead to a couple of points. A steadier from Matera sees the Suns hold out by 10 points.

2nd game saw Essendon open with a goal to Hurley. Gold Coast took control after that and led by 3 goals at both the half time and 3/4 breaks. Another low scoring affair and a goal a piece in the last saw the Suns win by 19.

Didn't lose a game all night playing as the Kangas....and yet I still feel like I absolutely suck as them.

My whole game plan normally revolves around my kicking but The Kangas have soooo many players all over the ground with a kicking stat of about 40, even after going through their list and picking out the best kicks to put in the team. They also have terrible options for CHB and CHF, which makes life difficult.

Argh...

Didn't take it easy at all. Was just trying different things. Definitely wasn't playing my normal game style but moreso a bit of it along with other tactics I wanted to trial that I've picked up from other people.

But definitely was playing to win. ;) I thought your marking was terrific. I was like, "Hang on, this guy marks alright... troll!" :p I think the only thing that I bettered you in was possession. You were far more efficient when you went forward. You get more of the ball, you'll win. :thumbsu:

Cahill Melbourne 11 4 70 - 11 2 68 Richmond HBK

Bate 5
Watts 4
Jurrah 2

Taylor 3
Riewoldt 3
Nahas 2

Dunn 11
Scully 11
Moloney 10

Cotchin 11
Foley 11
Houli 9

OMG , what a game!

First quarter

5 2 32 - 3 0 18

7 3 45 - 5 1 31

8 3 51 - 8 2 50

11 4 70 - 11 2 68

HBK kicks a goal just after the siren blew . . haha. best game I've ever been involved in!

Played Sully 1975. Unfortunately our game was dogged by lag, had a few attempts at it actually and eventually managed to play a game out. Sully seemed to be hit worse by it than I was because it wasn't too drastic on my end. Anyways actually forgot to note down the actual breakdown of the scores  But it was 75-43 to the Pies (me).

Played a game earlier, myself (Adelaide) against Marlon1a (Brisbane). The final score was certainly a little flattering to me, things just seemed to be going my way. Unfortunately the post-match screen moved on by itself, so I didn't catch the quarter-by-quarter scores, but I believe it ended at:

Adelaide: 15.8.98
Brisbane: 3.3.21

Thompson kicked 5 goals and had 16 disposals, while Douglas again got plenty of it with 17 disposals, and Porps bagged 3 goals. For Brisbane, Jonathon Brown was probably the shining light, and Mitch Clark seemed to do well too.

The ruckman doesn't matter when you have Boyd, Cooney and Griffen running around in the midfield (especially when the latter two can boot the ball over 60 metres and outrun almost anyone)... Yeah, I miss my Doggies :(
I agree though, Hudson is horrible to play with.
Thanks for game mahama... I am just glad i managed to hold you off from a 100 point score line...

Your right on with scores:

BBN 3.3.21 lst to ADL 15.8.98
Goals: BBN: Bronw 3
Goals: ADL: Thompson 5 , Porplyzia 3 , Knights 2
Touches: BBN: Drummond 13
Touches: ADL: Douglas 17, Thompson 16, Vince 11

Basically lost it in midfield i think as your midfielders busted packs and got too many free from clearances. Seemed to do 'ok' in ruck but you had the players there!

Gotta get some more practice with the lions... seem kinda slow compared to teams i am used to like power.

This is true jorel, always get smashed in possesion total, cant seem to pick out free players yet as i struggle to look at the radar and field of play at the same time, think scores may be a bit different if you use your preffered team. Did you notice all the free kicks i gave away? i know it was 10 in the first game, not as many in the second one, im always so careful to take finger off sprint before tackle, but still give away too high and in the back frees, i also gave away a holding the man one as well?!! never had that happen before!

Could've sworn it was before the siren.:(:(:(:(

Just posting the scratch match fixture/results here... Post 2 will be edited to have live competition details.

SCRATCH MATCHES

These are the scratch match fixtures. Please see this thread for rules (ie. lateness, etc). Basically, the majority of match ups are 1 game per night, however you may wish to play more than one match against your opponent. Feel free to play as many as you like (as long as it does not overlap with another one of your fixtures). I need EVERYONE to submit the scores of no more than TWO games per match up.

You can choose whatever guernseys you want for your scratch matches.

Be on time for your match. I have allocated an hour for you, but it is expected you will be online to communicate with your match up partner pretty much at the start of that hour. As stated in the rules (see the thread link above), give 15 minutes for someone to turn up before they are considered as a forfeit.

If you cannot make your scratch match, please post here so your opponent doesn't waste their time waiting. Anyone who does not turn up for scratch matches without reporting will be considered as not interested and removed from the competition.

Ok, fixture for ROUND 1 of the PRE-SEASON CUP is now up in post 2 of this thread

Please read it carefully. If any amendments are made, I will post again to notify you all, so please keep reading.

Any ideas or names for the pre-season cup? I'm thinking "The Ross" or something? :p

Cool, looking forward to it.

As for the name... "The Big Antsett Cup". Ha.

Sorry Jorel and ScootyB. Was unaware I even had another scratch match to go, even though I checked

Will be on pretty much all night tonight (after 9.30pm or so) if it's not too late. Sorry again.
