Good to see this thread abuzz.

Was up against HBK tonight and he didn't disappoint. Tough, tough games.

First game, Richmond jumped out of the blocks with 4 goals to nil. Gold Coast hit back with 5 in the 2nd to close the gape. 3rd was very even. Then the 4th the Suns hit into gear and slammed on 4 goals to nil to win by 16.

RICH: 4.3 6.3 10.4 10.6 (66)
GCS: 0.1 5.1 9.3 13.4 (82)
Goals: Rich - Nahas 3, Taylor 3, Riewoldt 2; GCS - Brennan 5, Patrick 3, Matera 2
Venue: MCG
Crowd: 2 (me and HBK)

Second game, Richmond again jump to an early lead of a couple of goals, but Gold Coast manage to get one to stay close. Game is poised at half time with both sides 5 goals apiece. 4 goals to 3 by the Tigers in the 3rd sees them hold a 7 point lead. An arm wrestle in the last, but Richmond get 2 goals to 1 to win by 14 points.

GCS: 1.1 5.1 8.2 9.3 (57)
Goals: Rich - Taylor 5, Riewoldt 3, Foley 1; GCS - Brennan 3, Matera 3, Ablett 2

smashed by freo (Scootyb). Sandilands dominated so couldn't get 1st touch(not that it would have made much difference :p)

Played a good game with skill1414, played in good spirit which is what will be great about this BF comp - no shit man on the mark tactics or 2 on 1s :thumbsu:
Game was tougher than what the scoreline suggests, skill was pretty inaccurate especially with that spud Cameron Ling :p

They were some damn tough games, no idea how I lost my dominant start in the first match. Ended up just not being able to stop your forward movement in the 2nd and last quarters.

Happy to have at least got a win out of them though.

Heh, yeah you kept kicking it out on the full. I kinda felt bad for you and didn't just kick the goal, not sure if you noticed :p

You smashed me in contested situations, was crazy. Its something I really struggle with TBH. I just wish my players would run to better spots sometimes hehe. I also shouldn't complain but gee my shots from 50 were sucking, Pearce had one from about 48 that went about 30 metres haha!

And yeah that second game was pretty poor from me, but I'm sure it was my connection as my wireless was saying 50% or something. Probably caused a bit of lag in the first game too, but I didn't really notice it.

GG though! Would be happy to play you more often :D

yeah it did! i thought it may have lagged up and you had won first clearance and booted it down field...obviously not!

Cheers for the wrap up hirdylloydy1. I've edited the fixtures to show games played in green. Well done everyone, will be interesting to see how tonight's games go.

Just an FYI, these scratchies are important. They will form how I structure the pre-season cup. I'll try and get a pre-season cup fixture out tomorrow, aiming to have games begin on Monday night (gives people the weekend to practice if they have a foreign team).

Also, anyone have any ideas of what to call the pre-season cup?

I should also address a few previous queries - sorry, no more sign ups for this season. Happy to have more for the next season (I reckon we could probably be done in about a month or so). The graphics are pretty cool. Might try and work them into a ladder ;). And I like the idea of a Brownlow. Are people happy to submit their own 3-2-1 for H&A games to kayliesharks?
 
Brownlow sounds like a good idea in theory but it won't be until it's put into practice that we can see whether it will actually work out.

I'll try and think of a name. And in those results above, are we submitting both? Because I sort of liked the second result better :p

Just one to address, stakerz belted my whole team around for the whole game! match review panel finds him guilty and dishes out a $10,000 fine. Got the feeling there may be more fines headed jorels way tonight.


PS Jorel, i am going away this monday to wednesday, will be back on wednesday night, could i play my first rounder on sunday night?
Really dont want to miss out

Should be fine. Will try and have it all mapped out tomorrow. Anyone who is going to be away for a period, post here so I can factor that in.
