Roma has signed 4 blokes that would have been fantastic gets for us now.

Malcom
Justin Kluivert
Ante Coric
Patrik Schick

The latter 3 were all under 20m

Lol they are so far not beneath us it's not funny.

We currently have Janssen, Llorente, N'Koudou, Sissoko, Onomah on our books who they are way ahead of. They're also ahead of Grealish but he is English so I accept that. They are all Lamela level or better

Gotta admit I don’t much about the players JD quoted which either means they are low-level or my knowledge outside the PL and the obvious star players at Madrid etc sucks. You can decide

Kluivert 10 goals and 5 assists from Ajax where we've signed from many times in the past.
Malcom 12 goals and 5 assists in France last season. For comparison sake that's as many as N'koudou managed in 3 seasons combined in France.
Coric is a bit of an unknown but is touted as the next Modric.
Schick is still a work in progress scored 11 goals in Serie A as a 20 year old.

We've been linked with all 4 at various points but for some reason we don't want to take a punt anymore. Maybe we are scared by our failures with N'Koudou, Janssen and N'Jie. But better scouting could have spotted those failures from a mile away. I'd charge about $25 an hour and I could have told the club to hold off on Janssen, the bloke was playing 2nd division Dutch football and wasn't dominating that's enough proof his good stuff was just a flash in the pan!

Most of those are beneath us too.
All above Lamela. Bex and a lie down JD
Lamela is the great unknown. He has had one good season of football (15/16) in the past 5. If he can get back to his best and score 10+ across all competitions then great but I don't think it's wise to rely on someone who has failed to stay fit or deliver his best so often

Also maybe if we didn't buy so late and have to be left buying shit campaigners like those 4 we wouldn't get in this mess. By continually being late to move we panic and buy whatever we can. This year we'll probably end up with a Charlie Austin or Shane Long for 15m on the final day

No Onomah, Edwards or Reo Griffiths. Injuries or about to make loan/perm moves away?
According to Windy he's heard Griffiths is either looking for a new club or has found one.

I've heard the same - and the same for Jaden Brown. I think Griffiths may even have found another club

Will he or will he be in camp for South Korea?

Asian Games are in the last 2 weeks of August apparently
Already confirmed.
Preseason and Newcastle away then he’s off.
