1. WEST COAST: No reason to think they'd drop. Young list with some improvement left.
2. FREMANTLE: Bit of a gamble given their track record, but the've got a finals hardened team and have injected some quality.
3. BULLDOGS: Very much a biased choice. Still, nice blend of youth and experience and plenty of quality to come into last year's side.
4. ST KILDA: May bounce back a bit after last year with some injured players coming back. Can't help but feel that time is running out but with some experienced ruckmen and injured players coming back they should still be in the mix for the top 4.
5. SYDNEY: A few injuries would see them drop badly but at the moment their best 22 is full of blokes in their mid-late 20s and they haven't lost anyone. Should be able to go one more round.
6. GEELONG: Should jump back into the eight after last year's wakeup call but can't help but feel they'll disappoint again.
7. MELBOURNE: They've been around here for a few years but have never been able to take the next step into the top 4. Not really sure where the necessary improvement will come from.
8. RICHMOND: Wallace will sneak them in. As long as Brown and Richo have reasonably full seasons they'll be alright, although their depth is very suspect.
9. Hawthorn: Poised to make a charge from next year. Plenty of games have been pumped into their youngsters but inexperience will still cost them too often to make it.
10. Adelaide: Most years there is a big slider. Adelaide have lost most of their ruck stocks and a lot of their older players are getting on. They do have depth, as shown last year so they may hold ground.
11. Collingwood: Have clearly gone with a youth focus which will pay dividends in a few years. In the meantime, they've lost Didak for half the year, Holland to suspension, Tarrant to Freo, and Rocca's starting to look like he's near the end.
12. Carlton: Will start to climb finally but still a few years to go.
13. Essendon: Will climb a bit on the back of Lloyd and Michael but I can't see much else driving them up. Still need more quality youth.
14. Port: Youngsters showed promise but they were awful for a patch last year when they lost some players. Have minimal depth at the moment and something tells some of their games last year were fools gone. Still on a downwards curve but won't be down too long.
15. Kangaroos: Poor recruiting, poor coaching, and lack of cash will take its toll.
16. Brisbane: Have lost a number of stars and nothing much is coming in. A few injuries and it could get very ugly.

How do you expect Freo to finish first on the ladder, play a home final against St.Kilda and lose.

When has Fremantle been successful?Which year?

That wasn't the topic. Was talking about stuffing up. The first five or so years of our existence we stuffed up quite a lot, albeit due to some poor efforts in setting us up by the WAFC and AFL.

In recent times, we have set ourselves up to be one of the most respected teams at present.

Shouldn't you be out trying to score some?

The thing about Freo, is that their fans are completely arrogant .. and for no reason at all. They've done nothing, achieved nothing and wear purple, yet the fans at last years QF against the Crows were so cocky it was actually funny. I still don't understand why they're arrogant, I think they're trying to be like their older, superior brother.

So which part of my post indicates I'm being cocky? The bit where I say that our first five or so years were bad? What bit? Please tell me.

You have the memory of a fish. Give me my apology already. And I want you to mean it.

Carlton have a bad backline. Thats it. Everything else is ok.

They will finish higher than the Kangaroos, Brisbane, Essendon and maybe Geelong

Thanks for the heads up:thumbsu:
