Always thought Macdougall was played in the wrong position at the Eagles (eg forward). When he came back west after playing with Western Bulldogs & played WAFL, he was played in the ruck which is where he played better. Perhaps in the AFL he would never have made being No. 1 ruck, but more in the role like Sinclair. In my opinion.
Nah, classic dud. He was far too soft to make it at afl level. Probably 10x harder than me but didn't have that edge to his game.

Yep agree 100%...Never understood why he was highly rated? His games in 2009 were not that good and he all did was butcher the ball everytime he got it.

You don't understand Chris, in his pre draft years Swifta was the next Voss. Oh the humanity of it all, the medical world needed a hero... Tom said please medical world pick me to be your guinea pig (or horse). The medicine did nab him from under our noses.

Tom gave being the next Voss a one fingered salute to instead be a medical crusader, an equine doctor because he didn't feel included at West Coast and wanted to hang with his long necked buddies in the stables.*

*Tom training to be an equine doctor is arguably not factual.

Had 3 votes in one game.. just sayin.
I was there for that game against Richmond. Was genuinely excited that he would start playing to his potential from then on. Pretty sure that was his last game for the club. Spangher also chopped up in that game.

Nah it was in 2009. He played a year or two more after that

Swift's 09 was fantastic, especially his last 5 or 6 games. They were more impressive in the sense he was showing a lot of quality attributes and upside considering where he came from.
