I'm going by my perception.
Yeah, probably because you always notice him 15 metres away from the contest flapping his arms around like a seagul.
It seems to be pretty unanimous about Thomas. But I've never perceived him as a front-runner. Never stops running or chasing, wins his own ball (check HBG stats if you don't believe it), has over 40% contested possessions... together with Medhurst, Leon and Dids, he's our barometer. When those guys are down, we lose.
They're ignorant. We were behind against Adelaide and he kicked goal of the week and got us into a winning position in the last half with supreme running efforts and class.
