Bond will learn a lot from that game and subsequent games. Merrett taught him a massive and very important lesson about getting wrong sided in the contest at a centre bounce and I doubt he'd let it happen again. He's very raw and as such has the most potential for improvement in our team (apart from say, an Irish Cat B rookie). He's one of the guys I'm most excited to see play this year.

Is Bond that raw? He's already quite developed physically, and is an endurance freak. Physically, this is almost it.

Presumably we looked at last preseason and are doing the complete opposite

Starting later
Nicks in another country
Recruiting players
Bolstering coaching ranks
Love a good Costanza-ering!!

I thought even worse than that ...

Someone said "Hey I just noticed that most of the teams playing in Finals started their training later - we should do that!"

Bigman is Murphy training with a weighted vest? I've been told he's been requested to put on 4kg...
How’s he going to fly against our talls with an xtra 4kegs

Late edit: thinking more about it……………that’s exactly why they are doing it🤦‍♂️

Never seen Rachele anything like T Greene who is much more physical and also a good mark for his size.

Besides the normal forward pocket traits of kicking mercurial goals at times I just don’t get the comparison

Most of the time, Rachele is a very good overhead mark.

Just read on Adelaide Now that we were one of the last clubs to resume full training! Similar to teams that finished in finals. Why the hell would we do that!?

Burgess call. Feels it’s too long provided players look after themselves on the break

Maybe so, but that's got nothing to do with knowing where to stand etc

If you don't know where to stand, you have no business in the role.

Whilst there is small gains to be made with experience, the vast majority of development is physical.

Late edit: thinking more about it……………that’s exactly why they are doing it extremely strange but the person is directly linked so no reason to doubt.

Put on weight? Seems like the opposite to what he should be doing.
It's very odd, but the person that I heard from is very close to the coaches

Start later but have a smaller break over Christmas could be a good idea. That period of binge eating, drinking and watching test cricket usually derails whatever progress I made in the preseason.
What if I pay you 500k to be fit?

I reckon I could resist the temptation too.
