Welsh hurt his shoulder. Great courage by peatling to

What would be an interesting poll...

Who will be our most influential recruit in 2025 our of Peatling, Cumming & ANB.

All are so capable.

Easily our best 3 recruits in for sometime.

Do we have to pay Rankine's salary this year if he gets injured in a non-AFL non-club game, or does the league give us salary relief for every game he misses?
I’d have thought we’d have every right to claim if something happens to him.

I'll go Cumming if he plays the whole season.
Some class on the outside will do wonders for our team - haven't had it since Seedsman left, or when we had Smith, Seeds and Milera running around.
He could very well be, but the caveat of him being fit appears to be a big enough question right now.

Pretty sure that was a dislocation. Wonder what they'll do, 4 to 8 wks rest, tape it early days, see how it goes and surgery end of the year if necessary or surgery straight away?

Good thing that indigenous game is just an exhibition match. Pretty sure it'll be a very bruise free game style. Fingers crossed for no injuries.

Peatling for me may do some things that will really influence and even turn games .
Just bits of brilliance be it a rundown or clearance that lifts the team.
He is known for clutch plays and goals especially.

ANB , so reliable and the pressure acts in the forward line will have fans loving him imo.

Reckon it may have been AC jt as didn’t appear to be any urgency / calling people over to try relocate it

Interesting pedlar looked similar when he hurt his shoulder in match sim at Norwood on open training day. Thought with his history it was curtains but was nothing seemingly

Don't underestimate the off field stuff from ANB too, a bit like Keays, is a true professional and role model for the younger guys. He will really drive standards and show the young guys what a true AFL players habits look like.

I met ANB a few times at some MFC functions and is a true gentleman.

Paywalled so can’t post it but in the Sunday Mail is a big spread on ANB’s journey from
being drafted, relationship with Goody to getting home and his feelings on playing for the Crows who he supported as a kid.
Quality human who will be great for us.

This strong positive attitude towards preseason lays a strong foundation for the season.:thumbsu:

Hopefully we can lift out first trophy since 2018.

Excellent article in the Newscorp papers by Matt Turner on our "new" recruit Alex Neal-Bullen, pity we can't post the whole article but worth the money to buy the Addy/Sunday Mail to read it in it's entirity. Quite a big article that covers a lot of his background, family, time at the Demons and his special bond with Goody.

Alex Neal-Bullen on connection with former coach Simon Goodwin and his fresh start at Adelaide

Alex Neal-Bullen might now be a ‘fully fledged Adelaide Crow’, but he still shares a special connection with his former coach. The new recruit opens up on the trade away from the Dees.

An image in Adelaide’s gym at West Lakes reminds Alex Neal-Bullen of his road to becoming a Crow.
The picture is of former club captain Simon Goodwin during his esteemed 275-game career in the tricolours.

He was someone Neal-Bullen cheered on as a childhood Adelaide fan, the first person he met after getting drafted, one of his biggest backers, his premiership coach and a key figure in his off-season trade.
Neal-Bullen planned to retire as a Demon until family circumstances brought him to his coach’s house on a day off late last season a heart-to-heart.

The hardworking half-forward and his wife Georgina wanted to head back to South Australia.

“Since literally my first 10 minutes jumping off a plane in Melbourne, Goody was one bloke who I trusted from the get-go,” Neal-Bullen tells this masthead.

“He picked me up, welcomed me into the footy club.

“Along our journey together, he became head coach, I became a regular in the 22, I became out of favour in the 22, I became a regular again and he was driving that ship with me, having challenging conversations, but also understanding what was best for me to reach my potential.

“It gave me the confidence to go to his house on a day off last year just to fill him in on how Georgina and I were feeling.
“I have a great relationship with him and was so thankful for his understanding and encouragement for me and Georgina to do what was best for our family.

“The special connection I have with him now is although I’m a fully fledged Adelaide Crow, his photo is still pinned up in the gym, so I still see him every day.

“When I chat to him, I let him know he’s still looking over my shoulder making sure I’m doing everything to the best of my ability.”

Desperate for content today, I discovered this Dan Jackson interview (sorry if posted previously) I found it worth a listen (he's a pretty impressive customer) Gives a bit of an insight into some things, notably a few of the baffling decisions from last year ie: 8 Man Leadership, Rash Omission, Murphys Selection.
