No roof, just something I heard which would explain the ruptured ear drum. You can't rupture someone's ear drum with any trauma less than a severe blow to the head, so a cracked eye socket would be consistent with the finding of the medical report.

You forgot to add the 6 ruptured hair graft plugs.

In the case of head trauma, considerable contact is required. I heard Guerra also has a cracked eye socket, which would do it.

lol head trauma, cracked eye socket, whatever podgey.

No roof, just something I heard which would explain the ruptured ear drum.

A cracked eye socket would explain a ruptured ear drum? lol...?

You can't rupture someone's ear drum with any trauma less than a severe blow to the head,

Yes, you can.

so a cracked eye socket would be consistent with the finding of the medical report.

This shit is gold, Jerry. If the medical report mentioned a cracked eye socket, then yes a cracked eye socket would be consistent with that. Where did you hear about a cracked eye socket?

Maybe you can wrap your mind around this - how does Campbell Brown's elbow to the face get categorised as reckless, and Joel's strike as intentional?

Pretty sure you're aware of my thoughts on this matter but if not I'll repeat them. Most likely Selwood didn't do much wrong but a lot of recent tribunal cases are judged on the injury sustained, which is stupid in itself. Rightly or wrongly Selwood was always gonna cope weeks for that, the lack of down the ground vision simply exaggerated the verdict. Plenty of MRP's outcomes leave us scratching our heads, some players have got weeks for attempting to strike, some get off for backheels in the plums due to insufficient force. Yes Selwood has got the rough end of the stick but complaining about it for days won't change that.

maybe Billy should have complained about the Trengove suspension if he wants people to take him seriously.

Exactly.

There have been worse suspensions than Selwood's suspension, like Trengove and Baker, but Billy didn't say jack shit then. Then as soon as one of his precious Geelong players gets a suspension which he probably deserved then he screams blue murder.

Holy shit, nice post. I don't really care about the verdict, just playing devil's advocate, and this is the only thread I have even argued about it in.

Any change in the structure of the skull can rupture an ear drum.

Yes, you can.

You can rupture an ear drum with no contact at all, but if it's a trauma induced perforation, or barotrauma it needs serious contact to the ear, or damage to the skull.

This shit is gold, Jerry. If the medical report mentioned a cracked eye socket, then yes a cracked eye socket would be consistent with that. Where did you hear about a cracked eye socket?

No, the cracked eye socket would be consistent with a perforated ear drum. I heard about this injury in conversation with another Hawthorn fan. Don't worry I'm not saying that it did or didn't happen but the eardrum rupture is certainly consistent with a blow to the head.

Maybe you can wrap your mind around this - how does Campbell Brown's elbow to the face get categorised as reckless, and Joel's strike as intentional?

Too easy.

Campbell Brown was in front of Ward and threw his elbow back in a checking motion, unfortunately it got the head instead of the body. No evidence that it was an intentional strike.

Selwood was facing Brown when he hit him. Could only be intentional.

Something a nun wouldn't say, what like "go to hell" or something.

We're talking about on field, behind the ball incident and you bring up nuns and video pant pulling.

Let me guess, catholic all boys school, a nun caught you playing with yourself. You were punished and you still self flagellate when you think impure thoughts to this day.

Am I right?

Yes, thanks for backing my point it was no different than any other hit to the head which happens to impact an ear. Result = perforated ear drum.

So it needs to be punished to discourage anyone hitting players off the ball in the head, or pushing players, or fending players or whatever he and you and Billy said he did or didn't do.

Maybe we've been lucky to not get a similar injury before but we can stop it happening again. Month holiday all round and it should stop.

You are making assumptions too, like Joel was telling the truth.

Billy's mistake was assuming that everyone is as stupid as he is.

You seem to know a fair bit about this topic!
Let me guess you were touched as a child? The priest at your school only show you attention for the first term then moved on?? You still un happy about it
aren't you?
So then you put all your interests in to local footy then hit the big time, Bigfooty!! Now you spend your time posting behind your PC under many different user names.
Don't make excuses for Buddy, his a great footballer but a real w***er off the field that lacks respect for females and anyone else for that manner.
Now get back to your keyboard and type your heart out with hot milo in waiting.

The Footy Show missed the perfect opportunity to revisit a classic moment from the past.

Picture this:
Billy Brownless reads out his whinge, then Jason Dunstall comes on, goes up to Billy and says, "SOOKY SOOKY LA LA!"

:p

He did.

On the footy show, when they were discussing the Trengove decision,he said the 3 weeks was fine cause the head is sacrosanct. No excuses.

Now suddenly a geelong player gets done, the head isn't sacrosanct.
