They are paid to act in a no-nonsense manner given the safety of the players is paramount. There is no guarantee the security staff are even familiar with what they are guarding.

Nobody is paid to listen to declarations of being Superman / President of the World / Tupac / Elvis or whatever else you care to name. Show the creds or GTFO.

Exactly - show some creds. A competent guard would ask this instead of just shoving him again.

No, you can be hauled out to the street for not doing it in the first place.

On display means all times, not on request.

Oh, I forgot it - Only works at your local coffee house when asked for a loyalty card.

I have worked as a contractor for the defence force.

There is no such thing as being let through a secure door based on a visible string. You can make all the excuses in the world, but you are required to show credentials at all times. It is even in the contract.

Of course you're not let through based on a visible string. So you ask the guy to show his credentials.

Honestly, its not complicated.

What part of it not being required does not sink into your hollow little head?

I am Elvis, I deserve to be let through.

Sure buddy, got credentials?

The only one with the hollow head is the guard, mate. It was a nothing incident that could have been sorted in 3 seconds flat if the guy was anywhere near competent. Now he's being counter sued and us knuckleheads are on here still talking about it.

Pretty sure the guy in question is wishing he just asked for the ID right about now lol

In a defence contract scenario? Sure, I'd accept that. At a ball game? Nah.
How naive could you possibly be?

One team has contracts worth hundreds of millions of dollars and they are all in the one room at a given point in time after a playoff game.

Nobody is getting through that door on the basis of who they say they are.

Of course not. Thats why you confirm who they are rather than just shoving them.

I mean, honestly :drunk:

Does a bouncer ask who you are before throwing your arse out?

This is high level private security. They see someone claiming to be the president of a team with no creds showing and reaching for their pocket?

Lucky he did not get restrained there and then.

Am I just trying to walk into the back office and identify myself as an owner of the nightclub? Yes, absolutely they confirm that as opposed to just throwing you out :drunk:

And yes, high level private security. You'd think they'd be better trained, staggering to see that level of ineptitude really.

Watch the video again mate, he ain't reaching for anything before he gets shoved the 2nd time.

Spin it however you like while the rest of us enjoy reality.

Dude, we have the video.

"Reality" :tearsofjoy: :tearsofjoy: :tearsofjoy:
Yes, and there was supposed video of the Nicholas Sandmann incident.

What is your justification for claiming it was action based on race? Was that in the video, or do you just go into a tizz any time a white man pushes a black man?

Kindly direct me to where this video could have been edited to change the context. Raptors guy isn't even in frame when it starts lol.

Read the thread mate, it helps. Or maybe not in your case :p

I don't see this as clearly racially motivated by the way, its just a guy who is really sh*t at his job. Any attempt to defend the security guard here is fantasy stuff.

Do you ever get peeved when someone in front of you stuffs around looking for their card, their money, or their pass - you have this stuff ready, you shouldnt have to be asked !!

Yes - peeved, annoyed, irritated. So far I've managed to restrain the urge to shove them out of the way, or even speak harshly to them. Somehow, I even manage this in non-professional scenarios in addition to professional ones!

You definitely shouldn't have to be asked, but I suspect most of us deal with things we really shouldn't have to pretty regularly - its called work.

Here you go.

Now you can play Mr Socialist Security Guard in private.

Yes, a professional security guard who manages to do his job without getting physical must clearly be a raving socialist :tearsofjoy:

Man, the internet is really bad for you guys. I simply cannot imagine the headspace you must inhabit daily :drunk:

whereas if he was black and kicking their arses (and flopping because who doesn't get annoyed at that) Harrell would have called him a "bitch ass fellow"

For those pretending to be offended, you'd be better off pretending this was a crime against women with the "bitch" part, but the faux outrage is laser focused elsewhere by the "all lives matter" crew. (none of which have actually played basketball)

Filter has ruined my post, replace fellow with N-word.
